Kaleo
The band Kaleo is becoming one of the most popular contemporary alternative rock bands in the
world.In 2016, they released a revolutionary album called A / B that completely exploded on
stage. the band was even nominated for a Grammy for the song No Good. Their songs have
appeared on TV shows such as Orange is the New Black, Grace Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries,
Riverdale, Suits, Teen Wolf and Blacklist.They completely sold out their first American title tour
and ended up as headliners at some of the more famous festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza
and Bonnaroo.

But what many don't know is that the band is actually a group of childhood friends from
Mosfellsbær, a small town just behind Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. their names is JJ Julius
Son,Rubin Pollock,Daniel Kristjansson ,David Antonsson,Thorleifur Davidsson .As best friends
from elementary school, now band leader JJ Julius Son, drummer David Antonsson and bassist
Daniel Kristjansson started playing together in their youth. At the time, they called it the band
Timburmenn. He then joined guitarist Rubin Pollock in 2012, and then officially named the band
Kaleo. Their first big steps as a band were made at the acclaimed music festival Iceland Airways
in 2012, and there was no return after that. They captured the heart of the nation when they
processed the cover of the song Vor i Vaglaskogi, which was originally sung by one of the most
famous Icelandic singers, Vilhjalmur Vilhjalmsson. In the end, they recorded a very creepy
music video with their cover, which to date has 4.3 million views and 5.6 million on an upload
that has English subtitles.Kale’s music is heavily influenced by folk and blues, and JJ said in
interviews that he was probably born in the wrong decade. He is involved in delta blues and
music from the 60s and 70s, and his father persuaded him to listen to music from an early age.
He gave him albums by the Beatles, Carlos Santana and Jimi Hendrik. JJ writes most of the
band's songs and says that his most favorite artists are Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrick.
