Introduction.
Wind Energy is undoubtedly one of the biggest natural resource for Renewable
energy development. In the past few decades, several reasons have been identified
to move to a cleaner and greener Energy and the urgency to do so, Wind Energy
becomes one of the fore-runners in achieving this ambition. Pertaining to the same
cause, The Project Report Aims at analyzing the Historical growth of Wind Energy
Development in India with respect to technical and financial aspects. The Report
ultimately aims at realizing the need for exponential development to meet the
growing demand of Renewable Energy. A comparison with the rapid growth of Wind
Energy in China will highlight the difficulties, economical and technical, faced by
India. The Report will focus briefly on the existing Wind Energy technology, ground-
up from budgeting and financing a project to wind resource assessment, through
designing and optimizing wind turbines to Installation and Grid Connection. For the
same purpose the project includes wind resource assessment technology,
government policies, software-oriented wind turbine designing, transmission, grid
connection and Ongoing Research in recent Innovations such as Bladeless wind
turbines.
