Parcel
Written By: Morris C. Elunio

There were missing parcels

from the homeland
where the hearts reside.

There was
a missing parcel;
perhaps drowned,
might have rested.

Then,
there were missing parcels
or maybe they were not.

But then,
there was a missing parcel
that have lost an eye.

Thank you for the good memories,

Letting me feel that I exist.
The lessons that you’ve shared,
Stays in my mind and my heart.

Time flies really, really, fast,

A feeling of survival that lasts.
I feel you are always by my side.
Even though years ago is our last collide.

La Democracia
Written By: Morris C. Elunio
Learning from our past is a good idea.
How the government controls the media.
Seeing the faces of the past victims,
Hearing how they totally scream.

A country where it takes a century,

To achieve their own democracy.
This is a great start to looking back,
When our hero's eyes see black.

This was also a great recall,

That will send a great lesson for all.
A moment to reflect on ourselves,
For the freedom and why we deserve.

We all want and deserve equality,

The right amount of freedom and opportunity.
Eradicate abuse of power from political officials,
And it's our duty to know what is foul.

Democracy does not come easy,

It has to be built with unity.
It should be fought by everybody,
And we deserve it if we use it wisely.
