“The Boatman’s Love Song”

For me, I think the song is about a reckless youth who is deeply
in love to this woman his describing in the song. Through this song
he describes the girl very detailed in a sincere way. I can say that this
reckless youth really like this girl. For the chorus, even though it just
has two lines it’s enough to prove how much this reckless youth or
the boatman like this girl. The line in chorus part “Begin with the
head and end with the toes” for me is like accepting the flows of a
person no matter what it is from head to toes. The line “My praise
shall be strong as the tide - That flows” is saying that I will still love
and accept you even in a strong wave of ocean I will still be with you
holding your hands, floating with you. Being loved by someone who
really cares for you is I think a blessing that we need to treasure.
Music is one of the ways that we can express our love it just depends
on how you will execute it effectively. Yes, it’s true that we are all
imperfect but I believe there is a perfect love. Learn to accept all the
flaws and imperfections of someone if you want a perfect love.
