Squatters who live in an unoccupied property should not be forced to leave it.

Nowadays in Argentine, when an unoccupied, or even an occupied, property is

squatted there is not much that police, or justice, can do. However, in my opinion, they
should do something. And I firmly believe that for a few reasons.
Firstly, it goes against the private property right. Nobody, not even the government,
can take away what is legally yours (at least without due process of law). So, these
squatters are committing a crime doing this and they need to be punished. Someone
could tell me they are punished but I would say not immediately or soon enough.
Secondly, because of lack of punishment it spreads like a trend. For instance, they are
not only squatting houses but also lots. They build their ‘homes’ there but those lots
have owners either the State or some particulars and again the are incurring in the
same type of crime.
To sum up, the law should allow to take actions more quickly before the situation
escalate into a major problem.
