BS Accountacy – 1B

“WHY JOIN THE ACCOUNTANCY PROGRAM”

‘Bachelor of Science in Accountancy’, almost little percent of every students enrolling in

different schools are enrolled in this program. A lot of them says they did not want to join in this
program because aside from the high standard in qualification, the course itself is really hard.
And I can proudly say that I am one of that little percent of students enrolled in our University. I
am an accountancy student in Catanduanes State University.
Since Elementary, it is my ultimate dream to become an accountant, when I grew up. But
I don’t have a goal, I just want to become one because I want to count lots of lots of money
(because I really love money, haha!) My ‘Kuya’ is an accountant and when I ask him what
accountant does, he says “Gabilang kami ning dakul na imo Neh.”, then laugh. (I was about to 9
to 10 years old that time.) Until I graduated elementary and high school my dream did not
change, I took Accountancy, Business and Management during my senior high. Then, when I
graduated high school, I realized one practical reason why I should take BS Accountancy as my
course in collage. Accountant is an in-demand job nowadays because new businesses and new
build up companies are increasing. I said to myself if I do qualified in this course, I will and I
must do my best to graduate still, in this course. It will be one of my best achievements, if ever.
And another reason is that, I was inspired and motivated by my Kuya. He is a CPA, I was
inspired how accounting change his life, or I must say our lives (family’s)
To all the students who are also taking up BS Accountancy, whatever your reasons are
why you join this program, we must always keep in mind what WALTER WINTLE said
mentioned in WIN BALLADA’s book, “You’ve got to be sure of yourself before you can ever
win a price, Life’s battle don’t always go to the stronger or faster man; But sooner or later the
who WINS, is the man who THINKS HE CAN.” Fighting!
