TAILS

Tails is a sport of speed, strategies, and deception. Players must have the skill
and mind to outplay their opponents and win.

Guidelines:

Players of this sport should be PCU STUDENTS ONLY.

There must be 11 players. One of the players will be called The Dog. Remaining players will
be split into 2 groups.

The game requires 5 handkerchieves. This will serve as the tails of the Jerrys. 4 of them have
white paper attached into one of its corners. The other one will have red paper attached to it.

The field must be rectangular.

Mechanics:

The 2 groups will have a coin toss on who will be the Toms(Defenders) and the
Jerrys(Attackers).

Once the roles have been decided, the Dog will stay at the Dog House. Meanwhile, the Toms
must assign a player to be the Guard, which will stay beside the Dog. The Guard can only stay
within the area of the Dog House. The remaining Toms will occupy the Cat Dens. The Jerrys
will be on the Mouse Hole at the opposite corner of the Dog House.
Before the start of each round, the Jerrys must choose a random player to be the Red Tail.
This player will have the tail containing the red paper. All the Jerrys must tuck in the tail
beneath their back. The papers attached to the tails must be hidden and inside their pants.

At the start of each round, the Dog will bark 3 times to signal the players that the round has
started. Each round will have a 60 second timer. There will be 9 rounds in total. In order to win,
either team must win 5 rounds. After the first half or after 4 rounds, the teams will switch roles,
but the Dog remains the same.

Team Jerrys’ objective is to reach the Dog house to wake up the Dog. If all Jerrys arrive at
the Dog House, they obtain a point. If the Red Tail gets to the Dog house, even if 4 or less
Jerrys are eliminated, they still get a point. Jerrys can also obtain a point if one of the Toms
accidentally goes into the Dog House.

The goal of the Toms for each round is to stall the Jerrys and defend the Dog until the timer
runs out to gain a point. They can also pull out the scarf of the Jerrys and eliminate them
from the round. If they pull out the Red Tail’s tail, or all of the Jerrys’ tails, the Toms win the
round and gain a point.

Rules and Fouls:

Players who break the rules will be given a warning. After a player has been given 3 warnings,
the player is out for the rest of the game. The player who has been fouled out can only return
after the first half. If the player is fouled out in the second half, he or she cannot go back.

All Players can only move after the third bark of the Dog.

All Players mustn’t hurt, push, hug, or tackle other players to gain advantage.

All Players must stay in the court. Those who are out of bounds will be out for the round.

Toms must only pull tails and nothing else.

Jerrys can only place their tails beneath their back.
