Learning Insights

My first exposure to the famed Family Medicine Wing was indeed great. I’ve seen cases
I’ve never seen before, and there are tons of details that I’ve put my attention into. Since it’s my
first time on duty, I noticed that it’s partially different from Pedia Ward. How nurses recommend
patients and how the charting system works However, Pedia and Famed share the majority of
similarities. Administering and giving medications and plotting and monitoring vital signs are
some of the similarities. Though the patients are more mature, the circumstances they are dealing
with are a bit tough. Patients at the renowned hospital are gracious because they share their
experiences with us and tell us how they got in.

Hindrance

Adjusting to the new culture is one of the challenges I’ve noticed. It’s my first time
seeing cases that are harder than Pedia. Next is the quiz. I got a low score on my quiz since, as a
first-timer in the famed, I barely know things, though I know several procedures. But I’m still a
student and still learning.

Recommendation

For the recommendation, hopefully, within the next duty, me and my fellow nursing
students will work harder through cooperation and collaboration so that there won’t be any
problems in charting, interacting with patients, and endorsing the nurse on duty.
