1.1 Express ideas clearly, in written, x This one is simple. I had to achieve this with each
multimodal, and oral communication, and every single assignment whether a paper,
considering purpose, audience, and format.   presentation, video, etc. I always had to keep in mind
who my audience was which could have been anyone
from the Professor to a CEO of a company.

1.2  Analyze issues, make decisions, and x I was able to utilize this skillset through specifically
address problems using critical thinking. through every case study in my Business Law class
by analyzing the entire case and identifying the facts,
question at hand and the court opinion.

1.3  Demonstrate leadership, including x I met this skill by leading a team in my HR


negotiation, relational, consensus-building, Management class where we had to develop a mock
and teamwork skills. company. I organized meetings weekly to suit all of
our schedules and delegated work for the final
project.

the arts. class by creating a video on how to make a
cappuccino where we had to teach the class
something and also providing a hand drawn GPS map
of my life.

1.5  Integrate appropriate technologies to x I could say this goal was met for every class done
solve problems, complete tasks, and remotely via use of a laptop and the internet. Within
accomplish goals. those classes I also used software Tableau and
calculated formulas in excel. Each one of these
technologies were used to solve data equations, meet
with professors via zoom for classroom sessions,
meet with teammates for projects, and much more.

2.1 Relate effectively across various x I am going to say that I have only partially met this
linguistic and cultural settings. skill because I have not yet completed my language
requirement for my degree and that will be next year.
I have partially met the skill through completion of
assignments such as an executive brief which
compared two different cultural settings in a business
fashion.

2.2 Use time, place, and social change as x I met this skill by addressing multiple issues such as
frameworks for analyzing social social security, marginalization of low-income,
developments from multiple disciplinary executive briefs between two countries, etc. Each one
perspectives. presented the time and place of the topic and the
progression of social change based on different
perspectives such as business, society, etc.

2.3 Evaluate current and historical events x While many works can attribute to achieving this
through the lens of spirituality and global skill, I would like to highlight the letter to the CEO
social justice. of the company where I work discussing the topic of
gender equality. This letter speaks to current and
historical issues on the topic and how he has the
power to be the change.

2.4 Critique privilege and oppression from x I believe this skill was met through ideas of
the perspective of diverse identities. individuals who remain stuck in the cycle of low-
income based on how the system is set up for help. I
also believe this touches on the oppression of men
and women with gender equality and both parties are
expected to act in a manner that society has deemed
acceptable.

3.1 Generate, analyze, and interpret x This skill was met through my multiple financial
numerical data. classes here at Seton Hill. I was able to display this
skill by generating, analyzing, and interpreting
numerical data for multiple assignments specifically
my financial analysis of Sherwin Williams which
consisted of the collection of four years’ worth of
data and interpreting the health status of the company
through those figures.

3.2 Locate, analyze, evaluate, and organize, x My class on Data Analytics here at Seton Hill helped
primary and secondary sources, including me meet this skill. We used software such as Tableau

3.3 Interpret quantitative and qualitative x I was able to obtain this skill through classes such as

conclusions or to present a logical argument. Analytics, I had to provide a cost comparison of two
items which I used gasoline and oil. The detailed
summary provided the reason why through telling a
story of a small gas station owner and listed
quantitative data to support the reasoning. Also, for
my Consumer in Society class I had to complete a
project to discuss a current issue in society which
talked through the issues surrounding
marginalization and percentages, wages, and
timelines to help the audience see the full problem.

3.4 Demonstrate respect for multiple ideas x I had to demonstrate respect for multiple ideas and
and worldviews. worldviews specifically in the Global Perspectives
class on Islam. I really respected my professor and
appreciated his ability to be so open to all questions.
Based on my personal faith, I had to demonstrate
respect for this other faith system even though I did
not agree with it through all assignments in the class.
On my final paper, I spoke to the Qur’an as I was
instructed to do, but I respectfully ended the paper
speaking to my own faith as well.
4. Self Reflection and Assessment

4.1 Employ ethical decision-making grounded x I had the pleasure of displaying this skill through my
in philosophical inquiry. first class at Seton Hill call “Intro to Ethics” where
each week we were given new ethical questions and
had to discuss them in an open forum through
discussion board. I also am addressing ethical
questions in my current business law class on
questions such as is it ethical for a contractor to
request more money for a job that he has already
signed a contract.

4.2 Apply Catholic social teaching to the x Catholic social teaching was a skill obtained through
analysis of contemporary social issues. my “Faith, Religion & Society” class, “Consumer in
Society” and this class “Senior Integrative Seminar”.
My first class helped me apply Catholic Social
teachings more in the faith world, Consumer in
Society taught me to see it in society based issues
like stated earlier on the marginalization of low
income, and this class has helped me display it in the
business setting when identifying ethical issues in the
workplace.

4.3 Explain the value of diverse spiritual and x This was one of the reasons I was most excited to
religious perspectives. come to Seton Hill because they provided the path to
learn about different spiritual and religious
perspectives. That can be seen through the Global
perspectives class where went on a journey to learn
about the Muslim faith. In that class, we had to
complete a team project on the five pillars of Islam. I
also was able to meet this skill in my class on Jesus
where each week we took a deeper dive into the
Gospels also an assignment where I had to compare
other spiritual and religious perspectives to that of
Jesus.

4.4 Integrate the action of charity with the x This subject was touched on across a few different
virtue of justice classes, but I would like to pay special attention to
my Consumer in Society class where I had to provide
pictures of my involvement with some charitable
activities along with an essay speaking to the
significance of being charitable in society.

4.5  Exercise responsible freedom and civic x I would like to refer you back to my two examples
engagement based on an informed  value set in the ePortfolio. These two writings are excellent
system. examples of exercising responsible freedom and civic
engagement based on an informed value system.
Both individuals at the hearts of each paper are given
the freedom to choose what they want to believe in
and nobody could take that from them nor force
them.

5.1 Model ethical behavior, responsible x I had to model this with every assignment and test
freedom, and engaged citizenship. here at Seton Hill. I agreed to a honor system where
I would not plagiarize or cheat as I completed each
assignment and I did just that.

5.2  Demonstrate accountability, effective x I believe I met this skill by developing a disciplined
work habits, and the ability to assess areas work ethic here at Seton Hill. I would submit all of
necessary for professional, personal, and my assignments on time and if I could not, I would
societal growth. notify the professor prior to let them know.

5.3  Identify and articulate skills, strengths, x At Seton Hill I had to provide essays, papers,
knowledge, and experiences relevant to one’s presentations, etc to fulfill the required tasks. I was
career goals. able to present my strengths through my writings
and my experience with Power Point presentations.
I believe this was especially displayed through my
different PowerPoint presentations on the different
Gospels in my Jesus class and also the one
submitted for ethical issues in the medical industry
for this course.

5.4 Complete experiential learning to pursue x This skill was most definitely developed as I
professional opportunities. continued to work full-time and attended schooling
full-time. My work experience was of significant
use for a lot of my assignments and I was able to
utilize the skills I was learning in school to be more
effective in the workplace. I also believe attending
the mock interview for this course provided
experiential learning to pursue professional
opportunities.
