1. Almond’s article opens up about racial microaggression in medical contexts. As the

term ‘’physician’’ was introduced, minor examples of microaggression have been
brought to light by many. Whether it is to humiliate, disrespect, hide an opinion,
racism, messages were conveyed into those gestures. As common as it is for it to
happen, on an everyday basis, it went under the scoop and wasn’t valued as dangerous
as other types of abuse. Now, what other field do you see microaggressions as talked
about in the article, happening a lot ? The engineering field is one that I can think of.
This field brings a stereotype that it’s a men's environment. Women had difficulties
blending in and had encountered many subtle messages, known as microaggressions.

2. Microaggressions was the common theme for our readings. Combining all of those
researches, they showed microaggressions affecting people because of their race,
society status, identity, work environment, sexual preferences and disabilities with
presented training according to each. Which suggestions from those authors did you
prefer the most? Barthelemy, McCormick and Henderson’s conclusion asked for
organizations to educate themselves in regard to gender microaggressions and sexual
harassment. Acquiring an equality in genders in a work environment, the minority
will have a thorough participation. For example, they brought splitting lab tasks fairly
respecting both genders as a way to surely impose equality in their environment.
