1. List 3 characteristics of Learner-centered teaching.

a. Learners are given the opportunity to make decision with regards to what they are going to
learn, learning strategies and learning materials and this is called individualization.

b. Interaction is where learners interact among each other and gain knowledge from peers.
This is a chance for them to participate in active learning process.

c. Learners will make connections between prior knowledge and newly obtained information to
construct new knowledge through integration.

2. List 3 ways how students benefit from Learner-centered teaching.

a. Learners are motivated.

b. Learners gain self confidence and feel good about themselves as they assume an active role in
their learning process.

c. Learners are demonstrate higher achievement when they can attibute success to theie own
abilities and effort rather than sheer luck.

3. List 4 ways a Learner-centered teaching classroom can be created.

a. Instructor should help learners set goals for themselves and can offer self-directed activities.

b. Instructors can encourage learners to discover how they learn best and they can apply different
strategies suitable for each learners.

c. Instructors should start to lead less and facilitate more by letting learners to organise content,
generate examples, pose and answer questions and solve problems.

d. Instructors should do more design work, construct real-life, authentic tasks that learner involment
and participation.
