Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.

I am here today to say a word of

congratulations to my dear friend Ryan. As you all should know that he had won the 1500 metre
race in the Village Olympics. Not only has he won that race, but he had won many races ever
since I knew him. He had battled with his cousin for many years to win this particular race and
he now finally succeeded. He often told me that he would like to become one of the country’s
best runners. Not only did he want to succeed in running but he wants to be an all around sports
man. Ever since I knew him he always loved sports and he always dreamt of breaking the
records that Tendulkar, Sarwan and Ato Boldon have made.

I have always encouraged and persuaded him in whatever he wanted to achieve and I will
continue to do so. Today I would like to congratulate him on his achievement. I would also like
to tell him that he has taken one step closer to achieving his goal and to keep up his good work. I
would like to thank you all for your undivided attention have a good afternoon.
