We are a level III hospital that specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Isabel was eager to lear from the first day on the unit. Isabel came prepared with goals in mind of what she wanted to lea during her days/weeks during her preceptorship. Isabel has great communication skills. She was able to express what her needs and desires were during her shifts and she accepted constructive critism well. She continuously wanted to learn new skills and practice those skills until she was able to perform them on her own. Isabel has shown the ability to establish an excellent rapport with many different constituents including nurses, physicians, nursing students, and staff. Isabel is genuinely interested in helping others and provides excellent patient care in a consistently positive and skillful manner. Isabel is self- assured and calmly handles the stress associated with a high acute level III Labor and Delivery. Isabel’s ability to think on her feet, assist with procedures and patient care when needed, and the ability to get the job done is exceptional for a nursing student. Isabel is responsible and volunteers to jump in and help with any task, from mundane to challenging, She is sensitive to the needs of our patients and their families.
