Synopsis:
SAMANTHA, a stay-at-home Mom loves her life. Her two kids, 2 and 4, are healthy and
happy. She lives in her dream house, complete with the white picket fence. And she’s married to
KEVIN HUBBLE, a wonderful man. He’s a loving husband and a great father. He provides for all
his family’s needs and more. The only complaint Sam has, is she wishes Kevin was home more.
He’s a leading neuro science expert and he spends most of his time on the road giving lectures,
meeting with bio-pharma executives, healthcare officials, and cutting edge tech start-ups. He’s
in Cleveland on Monday, New York on Tuesday, San Francisco on Wednesday, and then onto
Tokyo, Seoul, and Shanghai before coming home for a few days. Then back on the road. Sam
loves her life… but she is starting to feel like a single parent. She’s barely seen Kevin in the last
six months. So she gets a wild idea… to surprise him in Las Vegas where he’s going to be
giving the key-note speech to a bio-pharma company retreat. There’s one small problem, after
she arrives at the hotel and asks the front desk to connect her to Kevin Hubble’s room, they
have no one named Kevin Hubble registered. So she tries calling his cell phone, but he isn’t
answering. She walks over to the ballroom where the convention is being held, and finds a
placard that states someone else is giving the key-note address. What the hell?
KIMBERLY, is an aspiring model in New York. She relocated from Sacramento just a
few months ago after a scout found her working in her mother’s take-out restaurant. The
daughter of immigrants, Kim had sky high expectations and a ton of pressure from her parents
to get into a great school and become a doctor or lawyer, but when her father was killed in a
random act of violence, she had to start working with her mother to help keep a roof over their
heads. Then, “He,” walked in. RONALD (aka Kevin), a big shot international modeling scout.
Who thinks she has “just the right look.” Against her mother’s wishes, Kim goes to NY with
Kevin. He promises to introduce her to the top fashion designers, photographers, and magazine
editors. And he gives her a job, as his remote assistant booking his flights around the world,
scheduling his personal trainer, handling his bill at the Plaza hotel, and pretty soon he’s taking
her to parties and gallery openings. It’s not surprising that she falls for him, the first man in her
life to pay her any attention after growing up in an overprotective and controlling home. And
when he asks her to elope with him in Las Vegas she is overjoyed. That is until they get there
and some crazy lady named Samantha shows up making insane claims about being “Kevin’s”
wife.
ANABEL, the oldest of six Cuban American siblings, works as a nurse in Miami. She
practically had to raise her brothers and sisters since her mother works three jobs to make rent
and feed them. When she was just a kid, Anabel’s father managed to get his family out of Cuba
but he was stopped and arrested while trying to defect, and he’s been locked away ever since.
She’s never had anything her own, a moment of privacy, or a break from constantly caring for
others. And she’s never met a man who was interested in dating her AND her whole family.
Which is why she fell so hard and so fast for JACKSON (aka Kevin), the music producer, who’s
in and out of town, and never around long enough to be scared off by her family life. Whenever
he’s in town it’s like she gets a mini vacation from real life. Pool parties, clubs, fast cars. It’s like
a bite sized fantasy, but one she doesn’t have to run away from home for. And when he
proposes, she can’t say yes fast enough. They get married and move into a high rise condo
downtown. Then while Jackson is on one of his many extended business trips, Anabel wins a
radio contest for a trip to… Las Vegas. To her shock, she finds Jackson in the middle of Las
Vegas Blvd getting attacked by a Chinese American teenager and a Housewife from Cleveland.
LETISHA, is a workaholic. As the assistant DA for New Orleans she has seen and heard
some truly crazy things over the years. She demands a lot from her team, and even more from
herself. When she can’t make a case against a criminal she takes it personally. She can’t stand
to let violent criminals walk due to a lack of evidence or legal loopholes. She is a strong
independent woman, but under it all she is lonely. The product of a broken home, she buried
herself in her studies and then her career. And now on the wrong side of 30, she can feel time is
not on her side. Which is why she fell so madly in love with FREDDY (aka Kevin), the high end
art dealer in town for a series for showcases of local talent. He’s so unlike anyone she would
have fallen for earlier in life. For one, he’s an old money WASP from New York. About as
opposite to her 9th Ward New Orleans upbringing that shaped her into a community organizer
and activist. But, his charm, good looks, knowledge of art and wine and anything else far
removed from the drug addicts and criminals of New Orleans underbelly, it’s all more than she
can handle. And when he gives her the biggest diamond ring she’s ever seen, she says yes.
With a brief pause in her caseload, Letisha and her girlfriends take a long planned “girl’s trip” to
Vegas for some much needed R and R. Little does she know that when she arrives at her hotel,
she’ll come face to face with Freddy. As he rushes out the door, being chased by; Sam, Kim,
and Anabel.

Characters:
Samantha Foster-Hubble (23yo), has lived a pretty ordinary life. Raised in the suburbs outside
of Cleveland. The daughter of a dentist and a dentist’s assistant. She was a real Daddy’s girl,
until her father suffered a stroke and suddenly passed away just before her freshman year of
high school. She trudged through school, getting middling grades. She fell in with a not so great
group of kids that would cut classes, party, and drink. She managed to get into Cleveland State
University where she studied journalism, but after a brief tenure in New York where; being
downsized, cheated on by multiple shitty boyfriends, and losing her lease, she put her tail
between her legs and came home to Ohio. Where she met Kevin in a coffee shop downtown.

Kimberly Chan-Hubble (19yo), she grew up in Central California with classic immigrant ‘Tiger
Parents.’ They saw that she was a good student from an early age and they made sure she
stayed that way so she wasn’t destined to work 15hours a day/7 days a week like they do. But
all the pressure, cultural divergence, and generational differences caused a rift in the family. She
dreamed of getting into a good school, but not for future financial security, just to get far away
from her overbearing parents. Then after her father was murdered by mentally disturbed man
yelling racial slurs, she had to give up on that dream, and come to terms with the fact that she
was going to be chained to her mother for 15 hours a day/7 days a week for the rest of her life.

Anabel Jimenez-Hubble (27yo), having grown up in one of Miami’s most blue collar Cuban
neighborhoods, Anabel hasn’t seen much of the world. She’s never had the time or the money
to even leave the state of Florida. She had never not had a job. First accompanying her mother
to clean the houses of rich white people. Then in high school she delivered papers from 4:30am
to 6:30am, went to school for eight hours, and worked at a taco stand as soon as classes were
over. Then she labored as a bar-back, cigar roller, and personal cook while working her way
through a night school nursing program. And over all those years, she spent every waking
moment not working or studying; feeding, bathing, and watching over her siblings while her
mother worked one of three jobs. Now, as a nurse, she spends ten hours a day at work caring
for people and then goes home to keep caring for her younger siblings. She burns the candle at
both ends to help support her large family while dreaming of the day she can start her own. Or
at least just take a vacation.

Letisha Robinson-Hubble (32yo), born and raised in the 9th Ward, Letisha learned the harsher
side of life early. Her father was in and out of jail and her mother battled numerous personal
demons, including prostitution and addiction. Luckily Letisha’s aunt and grandmother were
always there for her. They were on the wrong side of the socioeconomic equation, so they didn’t
have much. And opportunities were nonexistent. But they were able to keep a roof over their
heads. And Letisha made it her personal mission in life to pull them out of the cycle of poverty
and racism that plagued not just her family, but the entire community that led to her parent’s
tragic lives. And she did it. Straight A’s, a full ride to Loyola, and top of her class at Tulane Law
School after that, she made a name for herself in the Public Defender’s office.

Kevin/Ronald/Jackson/Freddy Hubble (35yo), is an enigma. He's a chameleon oozing with

charm, wit, and a wealth of intelligence. He is a member of MENSA and has photographic
memory which makes him seem even smarter. One day he can seamlessly schmooze with
wealthy socialites as the ‘son of a British oil tycoon,’ the next he can close a fresh round of
financing for his ‘revolutionary new tech start up,’ and the next he can sell an ‘original Basquiat’
at auction to a room full of unwitting contemporary art scenesters. Who he really is, where he
really comes from, and why he chooses to wear the armor of a thousand different men is a
mystery. Maybe even to himself. Perhaps he was tormented by a histrionic father, perhaps he
was trained to lie to survive and escape trauma, or maybe he’s just an undiagnosed psychopath
whose own motivations are to simply feed off the fantasies of the lives he wished he could live.
Whatever chemical imbalance or series of unfortunate events were, something in his life has
conspired to mold him into a genius level con man.

Ep 1 - The Good Girl

Sam, waiting for her connecting flight in the Chicago airport, chats on the phone with her
husband, Kevin. But she doesn’t tell him she’s at an airport, she tells him she is at home in
Cleveland. And that she just put their kids to bed. She’s tired and needs to get to bed, so they
say goodnight, and that they miss one another.
After she hangs up, she catches Kim, standing across from her, giving her ‘a look.’ She’s
wondering why Sam just lied to her husband like that. Instead of ignoring it, Sam explains to
Kim that she hasn't seen Kevin in weeks. He’s always on the road for work. He runs a cutting
edge neuroscience start-up that's going to revolutionize the world. He’s in Vegas to give a
speech to a convention of c-suite bio-pharm executives. So she’s flying there to surprise him on
their fifth wedding anniversary.

Kim then tells Sam that she wasn’t giving her a look about that. She was wondering if Sam
could move her bag so she can sit. Embarrassed, Sam grabs her bag and struggles to move it,
it is extremely heavy for some reason. Kim sits, and sees that Sam feels awkward for spilling
her guts, she shares her reason for flying to Vegas. She is meeting her fiancé there. He’s a big
shot modeling scout, who plucked her out of a little take out restaurant in Sacramento six
months ago. Now he’s positioning her to be a supermodel with cover shoots and runways
shows. She explains that he is much older than her, and her mother doesn’t approve of her
moving in with him. So they are going to elope in Vegas! Sam asks what Kim’s father thinks, but
can tell from her expression that Kim’s father is no longer around. So she shares the story about
her own father passing away when she was young. She worries that even though Kevin is a
good dad, her kids are almost experiencing a similar issue of growing up without a father. That’s
how much he’s out of town.

Another woman sitting nearby can’t help but chime in, she too didn’t have a father around
growing up. Not because he passed away tragically or was too busy providing for the family but
instead he was just a low life who cared more about breaking the law than his caring for his own
daughter. But she reassures Sam, as long as they have a steady and strong female presence
they can grow up right and make something out themselves. After all she grew up poor as poor
gets and now she’s a rising star in the Democratic party in Louisiana. And she’s taking a much
needed trip to Vegas to unwind for a weekend before heading back to NOLA where her
husband of two years will just be getting back into town. He’s an international Art Dealer with
galleries all over the world, so he too is out of town a lot.

Anabel walks up, chatting loudly and passionately on her phone in Spanish. When she hangs
up she realizes all three women are looking at her. And when she hangs up she notices Sam,
Kim, and Letisha are all watching her. Sam pats the empty seat next to her and tells Anabel to
sit, and tell us all about it… inviting one more woman to join the impromptu therapy session.
And as luck would have it Anabel has an all too familiar story. Her husband of just nine months
is a successful music producer, and he’s always gone for weeks at a time recording with big
time rappers and pop stars. And she’s actually scared to go to Vegas. She won an all expense
paid trip, but it’s the first time she’s ever left Florida. And more importantly, it’s the first time in
her whole life that she will have no one else to feed or bathe or care for.

Ep 2 - An Aspiring Model
Sam, on board the flight, is seated next to a slimy guy who keeps hitting on her. Despite
repeated attempts to rebuff him, he gets more aggressive after a couple drinks. Anabel, walking
to the restroom, notices him place a hand on her knee. Sam slaps it away.
Anabel goes back to her seat where Letisha is also seated. She tells Letisha that Sam is in
trouble. They head back towards the front of the plane. Kim notices them and she too joins.
The three women arrive at Sam's seat to find the man whispering in her ear while she cringes.
She is frozen with fear, as if a long repressed traumatic memory has come back to haunt her.

Letisha clears her throat and the man notices them for the first time. He laughs in the face and
tells them to mind their own business. When they don’t back down he stands, he towers over
them. Intimidates them. But Letisha has dealt with way scarier people. She goes nose to nose
with the belligerent asshole.

And when the man raises a hand, as if he’s going to back hand her. She doesn’t flinch. Instead
she slaps him across the face.

The man goes berserk. He takes a swing. Letisha ducks. He hits the flight attendant. Then
surprising everyone, petit Kim spins the man around and gets him in a headlock. But he’s too
big, and he lifts her off the ground. Anabel latches on, bites the man. Letisha slaps him again.

It’s chaos. He manages to shake Anabel off, shove Letisha back, and literally throws Kim away.
But BAM! Sam hits him in the head with her bizarrely heavy bag. Knocks him out.

The flight attendants then duct tape the man to his chair and cover his mouth before he can
come and go wild again.

Sam opens her bag to reveal a bowling ball. She is giving it to Kevin as a gift, because he loves
bowling. What a coincidence, so does Kim’s fiancé, Anabel’s newlywed, and Letisha’s
husband. They all joke about being sisters separated at birth.

After landing, while walking through the terminal, Kim rushes past, knocking Sam’s coffee out of
her hand, and splashing it all over her. Sam is too excited to see Kevin, so she shakes it off and
keeps walking without saying a word.

Then in the baggage area while she’s taking her luggage off the carousel Anabel accidentally
bumps into her. Sam nearly falls to the ground. After some dirty looks, they both decide it’s not
worth fighting about.

Sam flags down a cab, but as she’s about to get in, Letisha cuts in front of her. This time Sam
isn’t about to let it go. She lays into Letisha for stealing her cab. Letisha shrugs and tells her to
catch the next one.

So much for sisterhood!

Ep 3 - Lady Law
All four women arrive at the hotel. And end up jockeying for position to check in. Their fast
friendship looks to be short lived.
Kim gets to the desk first… only to find out the room she booked was for the wrong dates!
Ronald is flying in tomorrow morning and surely he’ll get the hotel to work something out, but
the front desk tells her they are fully booked. As are all the hotels in town, since the World Cup
is in town that week.

Letisha steps to the counter next, only to find out the hotel has in fact overbooked. And the
reservation she made through CheapAssHotels.com was “moved” to the Sunshine Motor Motel
down the block, per the fine print in her booking.

Sam approaches and tells the front desk she is joining her husband as a surprise so she doesn’t
need a room as he’s already booked. But… when they look up his reservation there is no one at
the hotel registered with that name.

Finally Anabel checks in and to her surprise not only does she have a room, she has the four
bedroom penthouse suite for the whole weekend. She looks at the three other women, all in
different corners of the lobby making desperate phone calls to find a room. She sighs, knowing
that she’s about to sacrifice the first night of freedom she’s ever had.

She gathers them together and makes them an offer, if everyone can promise to go back to the
bonded sisterhood of their flight, they can stay with her tonight. Agreed! And their up and down
friendship is on the up again.

After settling, they join Sam as she ventures to the conference room where Kevin is to give his
speech. But when they arrive, there is no bio-pharma conference. There is no speech. There is
no Kevin. What the hell? Maybe she got the wrong hotel?

Then just as confusion overtakes Sam, Kim yells, “Ronald! You’re early!” And she rushes across
the lobby into the arms of her fiancé. But what Sam sees is Kim jumping into the arms of -
KEVIN! And what Letisha sees is - FREDDY! And for Anabel it’s - JACKSON!

And what “Kevin” sees… is his fiancée and three wives all standing before. With their
faces all scrunched up in a fleeting state of perplexion. In this brief moment, before the
dawning realization hits the “sisters,” the clam before the storm, “Kevin” turns on his
heels and races out of the hotel.

The women look from one to another. Letisha to Sam. Sam to Anabel. Anabel to Kim.
Kim to Letisha. And in unison it hits them…

Kevin is Ronald. Ronald is Freddy. Freddy is Jackson. Jackson is Kevin. They are all
the same person. And all four women are married to the same man. BUT HOW???

Down the Line:

Sam, Kim, Anabel, and Letisha will have an epic blow up at first. Each blaming the other
for stealing her man, being a homewrecker, being a slut…
Then as the dust settles they will come to realize it’s “Kevin” that’s the real villain. He
lied to and manipulated each of them.

But why? It’s been years. Five for Sam. Two for Letisha. A year for Anabel. And six
months for Kim.

Anabel is disappointed and ready to head home. Letisha is enraged, she wants
revenge. Kim is ashamed, she proved her mother right. Sam is utterly devastated, she
has two young children at home. What the hell is she going to tell them.

At first each of them is resigned to heading home and figuring out how their lives could
have come to this. But as each of them hails a Uber they all get the same response…
“Credit Card denied”. What the fuck? He’s already canceled the credit cards.

Then in a panic, Anabel checks her shared bank account. It’s empty. Transferred out
minutes ago. All the money she's been slaving away to save up for a house. All the
money she needs to take care of her siblings.

Letisha checks her accounts as well. Gone. All of it.

And Sam. Zero. He’s taken everything. All the money necessary to feed her children,
keep them in a good home, send them to a decent school, pay for all the medical care
`and soccer games… gone.

The four women make a pact, right then and there. They will band together. Support
one another. And more importantly, they will track “Kevin” down, take back what is
theirs, and expose him for who he is. They will not rest until they stop him, and see him
locked behind bars.

Unfortunately for them, they will soon learn that the man who conned them for years, is
a psychopath. A brilliant psychopath. And the close they get to catching him, the more
he enjoys toying with them. He’s always one step ahead. Always playing games,
sending them down dead ends and wild goose chases.
