Malware has some negative impacts on systems. It is important to take early caution

and prevent the systems and computer components from being targeted. To do this IT experts

need to know about malware, how they operate, its impact, and the solutions to counter them.

The following are reasons why knowing malware is important.

Knowing malware will help in countering them when they attack. For, example from

the knowledge of malware we can get to know the type of malware and what effects it can

have on the system. From this information, we can get the solutions to prevent it from

attacking.

The knowledge of malware gives us caution when we are using the system and also

helps us to enforce more security to the system and computer components. For example, we

can have antiviruses and anti-malware to prevent malware from attacking. We have malware

that appears to have no effects such as Trojan but steals data from the computers.

It is important both for pre-incident and post-incident activities. When the attack has

been executed it is important to know which impact the malware caused and also for

documentation. This will help in the analysis of the malware.

The knowledge of malware will help us to understand how the malware operates

thereby knowing how to deal with them when they infect the system. Different malware

exists in different forms with different features that need to be known.

Any organization needs to know about malware, especially the IT team which will

help in detection, reduce impact, and also in analysis.
