It covers the various variables, social factors, and environmental factors that impact how people think, act, and feel. Evolutionary psychology is a Branch in psychology that seeks to explain behaviours and cognitions (mental processes) in terms of psychological traits. It explains how “nature AND nurture” affect a man’s growth and makes him more adaptable in an environment. It examines which physical (behaviours and actions) and psychological (thoughts, feelings, mental processes) abilities enabled human ancestors to survive and reproduce. These studies help us understand natural human behaviours today and evaluate the pattern to predict behaviour in future. It Originated from the Darwin’s theory of Natural selection.
