2. Why is Krishna so important? ( 5 pts. )
Krishna is so important because of various influences and is considered to be a warrior,
hero, teacher, and philosopher by Hindus. In the story of Mahabharata, Lord Krishna
helped the Pandavas win the war against Kauravas.
3. Give three fundamental beliefs of Hinduism. ( 3 pts. )
· Belief in many gods. These deities are linked to universal and natural processes.
· Preference for one deity while not excluding or disbelieving others.
· Belief in the universal law of cause and effect (karma) and reincarnation.
4. What is the moral lesson of this epic? and discuss your moral lesson using your
example ( 10 pts)
One of the moral lessons in Mahabharata is that we cannot give up on life despite all
hurdles.
In my experience, I struggled for how many years in my life. Even until now, sometimes I
feel lost, angry, sad, alone, hurt, empty, and so many emotions I feel all at once because
of what happened to me. But I keep on holding my life together. I took 3 different
courses in college, and I promise myself this would be my last. Although sometimes, it’s
hard for me because I’m still in the process of healing myself and cannot concentrate
much on school. I’m trying my very best to manage my time, pass all the requirements,
and more importantly learn, while I handle my small business and have time for my
family.

5. What is Karma? and discuss with your example ( 10 pts. )

Karma is the Hindu view of causality in which good deeds, words, thoughts, and
commands lead to beneficial effects for a person, and bad deeds, words, thoughts, and
commands lead to harmful effects.
For example, if I earn not that much but just enough to be able to share my blessings
with others, then and only then will my small business become more productive and
bountiful.
