There are 5 basic playlist types: sad, mad, glad, rad, and bad.
I will be explaining each with details. Bad
playlists are for when you’re sad, heartbroken, or pensive. They should include songs like “When I Was Your Man” or “Turning Tables” to bring the sad tone. Mad playlists are for toxic songs. Whether it’s to inspire a villain era or to fantasize about a enemies to lovers arch these songs are for when you’re feeling toxic. Songs like “Black Widow” or “Lie Lie Lie” make up these playlists. Glad playlists are for those feel good days. They are for car rides, dance parties, and showers. The songs I would recommend are “Talk Too Much” or “Juice” to start yours off. Rad playlists are ones that are already made for you. These are possibly soundtracks from movies or shows. They could also be the set list from concerts you’ve been to. These are the nice playlists because they are most likely better than the average one because professionals made it. Bad playlists are next. These should be avoided at all costs. Playlists like “all the vibes” or ones that lose their focus and tone fit into the bad category. Maybe they were good at a time but you grew out of them or over grew the playlist. These are made by not stying within one of the other four. In general, you should pick one of the first 5 playlists and stick with that theme when making a playlist. Transferring between is not an easy thing to do. Most of the time, trying to do too much will result in a playlist entering the bad category.
