Objectives: students will draw different types of shapes.
Students will be introduced the different types of shapes which are geometric and organic Martials
papers, pencils, crayons
New vocabulary/Concepts: Geometric, organic, and 2D and 3D
Time: one period
Procedure; In this lesson I will be introducing shapes and defining the vocabulary and students will write the vocabulary and their definitions on their note book. Then students will be asked about what they know about shapes and similarities and difference between shapes. Students will rise their hands to answers these questions. Then I will define what shapes are and how we use it in art. I will ask students to tell me where they see shapes and I will write on it the board. Students will rise their hands to answers question. I will show students different drawing and tell them to classify the shapes that they see in their group tables Students will draw shapes on their notebooks. I will draw a house and tell students what kind of shape they see . Students will begin to draw things that have shapes on their note book and describe if it is organic or geometric shape . I will demonstrate drawing that have different shapes and students will choose the ones that they like and we all as class will start drawing and when we finish we start coloring.
