25 The Heroes The Heroes 26
Leon
Eden’s childhood friend and closest confidante,
often mistaken for a sibling. While they may
not be literally related, their brotherhood
runs deeper than blood, and helps form the
emotional backbone of the game.

Though he can often come across as grumpy or

aloof, Leon cares about his friends deeply, and
can always be counted on in times of danger…
even if he might complain a little first.

27 The Heroes The Heroes 28

Francisco
Eden’s childhood friend and go-to muscle (as well
as a fan favorite). Brash, stubborn, and ever-ready
for a fight, Francisco would likely have landed in
jail years ago if not for Eden’s influence.

But the reverse is also true: without Francisco,

Eden would never survive a life of high-risk
mercenary do-gooding, let alone a civil war.

29 The Heroes The Heroes 30

Robin
A young mercenary in Eden’s company, Robin
is the group’s naive rookie, as well as Robere’s
adoptive younger brother.

Despite his tender heart and winking personality,

Robin is one of Eden’s fiercest allies on the
battlefield, no matter who they’re fighting.

31 The Heroes The Heroes 32

Robere
The oldest member of Eden’s mercenary crew,
Robere acts as the voice of reason, bringing
experience and a calm temperament to every
encounter.

As Eden finds himself drawn deeper and deeper

into the murky confusion of war, Robere can
always be counted on for a warm word and some
sage advice.

33 The Heroes The Heroes 34

Marchelle
As an Imperial Inquisitor, Marchelle has devoted
her career to stamping out corruption — an uphill
battle, in a empire practically defined by it. When
circumstances throw she and Eden together,
Marchelle decides to lay aside her old life, and
become a proper rebel at last.

Highborn, educated, and deeply principled,

Marchelle is a skilled healer and cautious advisor,
who eventually becomes one of Eden’s closest
counselors.

Image Info

her mature, sophisticated personality…while playing nicely with hair plug-ins, combat animations, and armor designs.

35 The Heroes The Heroes 36

37 The Heroes The Heroes 38
Gilbert
Gruff, cynical, and thoroughly pragmatic,
Gilbert is a once-great tactician, now a bitter
village drunk, after years of hard fighting in the
last war. When he’s recruited by Eden, Gilbert
finds himself tasked with whipping an army of
backwater roughnecks into a proper fighting
force.

Quick with a joke as he is with a cutting aside,

Gilbert brings the perspective of history to
the Benerian revolution, as well as jaw-
dropping magic to the battlefield.

39 The Heroes The Heroes 40

Klara
One of Artemesia’s most infamous mercenaries,
Klara’s relationship with Eden is complicated at
the game’s start, and only gets more so as the war
goes on.

Stubborn, driven, and confident to a fault, Klara is

a natural-born leader who strives for excellence,
and has no patience for mediocrity in herself or
others.

(And that’s before she loses the eye.)

41 The Heroes The Heroes 42

43 The Heroes The Heroes 44
Andrea
A hot-headed spitfire from Eden’s hometown, Andrea
and her sister Sera are the catalyst that sparks the
uprising responsible for dragging Eden and his
friends into the war.

Though Sera harbors complex feelings about that,

Andrea’s are a lot more simple: to protect her sister,
at all costs, no matter whose face she has to punch.

45 The Heroes The Heroes 46

Albrecht
The Merlin to Eden’s King Arthur, Albrecht joins
the game fairly late into the story, but is crucial to
the core cast.

As the apprentice to one of the greatest mages

who ever lived, Albrecht is the world’s foremost
authority on the Eidolons: ancient lost gods which
have recently begun to stir.

When strange signs and abilities begin to manifest

in Eden, Albrecht becomes a close friend and
confidante, ready to help a smalltown hero
become one for the ages.

Though she never sets foot on the battlefield, Sera

warmth, heart, and the occasional home-cooked
meal to heroes in need.

Isoro
Known throughout his native Benerio as “The
Broken Blade”, Isoro is a military tactician famed
for his deeds during the War of Unification, yet
nonetheless stained by his family’s defeat.

As the last true relic of Old Benerio, Isoro carries

the weight of history on his back, and his fight
against the Empire is as much about his own
legacy as the fate of Artemesia.

57 House Feniche House Feniche 58

Elias
A hardened soldier who served Balastar’s father
twenty years ago, Elias retreated into a life of
solitude in the mountains after House Feniche’s
bloody defeat.

Now, as Isoro launches a second attempt at

rebellion, Elias has returned to the world to serve
as one of his most senior commanders…and keep
a close eye on his hot-tempered nephew.

59 House Feniche House Feniche 60

Chelcia
One of Balastar’s childhood friends and most loyal
allies, Chelcia has the sharp wit of a highborn
lady, and the battlefield ferocity of a true
berserker.

Standoffish and even a little sadistic by nature,

Chelcia thrills at asserting her power, and expects
those she deems beneath her to fall in line or get
out of her way.

61 House Feniche House Feniche 62

63 House Feniche House Feniche 64
Elena
A soft-hearted commoner who joined Balastar’s
retinue only recently, Elena acts as the voice of
reason among a sea of outsized egos and strong
tempers, often putting her at odds with others like
Chelcia.

65 House Feniche House Feniche 66

67 House Feniche House Feniche 68
Godfrey
A proud warrior, Godfrey lives for the fight and
obeys a strict honor code. As one of Balastar’s
strongest and most senior lieutenants, he is
unswervingly loyal to House Feniche…and
brutally unforgiving toward those who aren’t.

69 House Feniche House Feniche 70

Guillermo
Isoro’s shrewd and tactically-minded advisor,
Guillermo is the former master of a shipyards in
Benerio, and views the war through a lens of cold
logistics. The messy realities of human nature, on
the other hand, vex him endlessly.

71 House Feniche House Feniche 72

Rosalina
A woman of few words, Rosalina is one of
Isoro’s finest archers, who eventually finds
herself placed under Balastar’s command.
Cool-minded and unsentimental, she prefers
to avoid the messy drama of others, focusing
only on where to aim her next shot.

73 House Feniche House Feniche 74

Merten
A high-spirited and charismatic hunter beloved
around camp, Merten is devoted to improving
his skills first and foremost, harboring no
illusions about his role in the war or his ability to
influence its leaders.

75 House Feniche House Feniche 76

Celina
A quiet spellcaster, Celina and her sister Lila
mostly keep to themselves, serving as two of the
more exotic weapons in Balastar’s arsenal.

77 House Feniche House Feniche 78

Lila
Sharp-tongued and quick with a blade, Lila is as
merciless on the battlefield as she is toward anyone
who so much as gives her sister a dirty look.

Monsters
While the world of Lost Eidolons generally airs on the low-
fantasy end of the spectrum, there are still a few myths and
legends lurking in the margins of the map, in particular the
fearsome monsters that prowl the wilderness between cities
and towns.

Distinct from normal wildlife, monsters are creatures that

have been mutated by the magical effects of soulstone ore,
granting them anatomical deformities and unnatural abilities.
While most major cities have learned to keep them at bay,
monsters run rampant in the countryside, a persistent scourge
to travelers, merchants, and smalltown villagers everywhere.

Prior to the Imperial conquest, monsters were routinely

scoured and purged by the powers-that-be. Under the
neglectful rule of a corrupt bureaucracy, such efforts have
languished, and monsters have flourished like weeds —
plaguing the peoples of Artemesia, and bringing a bit of
exciting variety to the game’s battles.
