Policy Analysis Report #2

Fall 2022 PUBPOL 101

Due noon, November 21, 2022 (before class)

The aim of Policy Report #2 is to revise and expand Policy Report #1. You have to
incorporate my feedback in the second assignment.

As in the first assignment, your report should answer the following general questions:

a) What is your social/policy problem? Is your problem clearly defined?

b) Why does this problem matter? What are the consequences of the problem? Why
is your problem relevant?

c) What are some causes of the problem?

Please include your references at the end of your report. It should include 750 - 1000
words (without references). Also add the word count at the end of your paper.

b Individualized meeting I will be meeting students one-on-one on Wednesday

(11/16; noon - 2:30 PM) and Friday (11/18; noon - 6 PM) for a block of 15 minutes per
student. Please set up a time on the sign-up sheet. Please note that I will not read your
second report in fairness with other students, but you may ask specific questions.

b Rubric Rubric is attached on page 3.

b WLS For additional help with developing your writing skills, please book an ap-
pointment at the Writing and Language Studio (WLS), especially if I asked you to see a
WLS coach in your Writing Assignment #1.

 b Academic integrity: Your work will be reviewed by Turnitin upon submission;
no multiple submissions will be allowed. Please make sure your work is original and all
sources are given proper credits. Any plagiarism will result in a letter downgrade
at the minimum.

b Deadline and submission: You should submit your policy paper through Sakai >
Assignments > Assignment 2 as a Word file; you must use the following file name format:
family name first name.docx. The deadline is noon, November 21.
