4x4 Dice

Requirements: Paper, Pen, Die.

Draw a 4 x 4 grid.

Roll a die. Each player draws the result (pips and all) on their grid (they may choose the desired
orientation). Repeat until the grid is completely filled.

Draw a line (with pencil if preferred) between pips that are near each other, but on separate die
values (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally); corner pips to corner pips, middle pips to middle
pips. Each of these lines scores one point.

You may then add bonus points if a Bonus Mechanic (or “house rule”) has been decided on
beforehand. Some bonus mechanics are listed below.

The winner is the one with the biggest score.

If you come up with any Bonus Mechanics or extensions to the core gameplay, please feel free
to send me an email explaining them. It would be great to hear how people are getting on with
the game, and any additions they’ve made. And if I like them too, I’ll add them to this page, with
credit to you, of course.

Draw a circle across 4 adjacent dice values. Add the values to get your bonus score.

Stepping Stones
If there are any rows or columns where each value has a centre pip, draw a line connecting
these. Add the values to get your bonus score.
