“You won, again” the young man’s voice was now impatient after sitting here for hours and
losing each time but Serena was not satisfied yet, she gave him a light kick from under the table
while still focusing on the chess board in front of her and he grunted. “As I always do now go eat
something before you start chewing wood” she didn’t need to look at him to know that he was
rolling his eyes as he got up from the table and made his way to the front door. “Will you be
joining us for dinner?” he called from the hallway knowing very well that tonight she wouldn’t
even though she had never told him her reasons. Serena looked up at the clock on the wall it
was almost time “No I won’t but tell the others to behave” she hesitated but than added “oh and
don’t nobody come look for me until midday tomorrow. Darsen didn’t say anything but she heard
the soft click of the door getting closed and she knew it wasn’t only because she had won all the
games , no that was now a usual thing even symbolic between them but it was because of the
secrets that she kept of what happened in this day. She got up from the table and started
getting ready first she changed her training outfit and slipped on a long crimson dress it hugged
her figure and it also kept her warm besides it was now a tradition for her to wear a red dress on
this day it hid the blood stains better. She pulled her hair into a ponytail and sat on the couch
