Life Has Become a Slave of Modern Gadgets

Robin S. Sharma, the famous author and motivational 1
speaker says, “Cell phones, mobile e-mail, and all the 2

other cool and slick gadgets can cause massive losses in 3

our creative output and overall productivity.” Modern 4

life-style and man's increasing dependence on technology 5

have literally affected his mental and physical faculties 6

and capabilities adversely. Not only intelligence, the effect of technology and gadgets is 7

visible on all aspects of his life. Machines, gadgets, vehicles, smart-phones, laptops, mp3 8

players, man cannot live for a second without technology. 9

As a consequence, he has become physically, mentally, socially, spiritually, emotionally 10

weak!  The present signs of his decadence do not augur well! If he fails to check his 11
dependence on technology and gadgets, he may become utterly incapable of surviving any 12

longer on this planet. The ever increasing indexes of patients in the hospitals of the world 13

are a red-signal for man. He must learn to use technology wisely and appropriately. After 14

all excess of everything is always bad! He must use these gadgets as he uses other things 15

for example, stove, shoes, water-tap, house, car, pen, bed, etc. He uses them only when 16

they are required. However, his overuse of some of the gadgets such as smart phone, 17

computer, TV, etc. are killing his time. They don’t let him use his other faculties. He must 18

wean himself off these gadgets before it is too late! 19

He must use gadgets wisely. He must not be over dependent on them. Though they have 20
become an integral part of man’s existence, yet he must use his faculties optimally. He 21
must give due exercise to his body, mind and soul. Otherwise the dependence on gadgets 22
will render him weak physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. 23
