Preparing a Research Concept Paper

1. Read thoroughly all the uploaded research recently published in various academic
journals, the link of which is provided to you for easy access on google drive.

2. From these readings, prepare a 5- page introduction, bearing in mind that you are
conceptualizing research on “Developing Mental Health Care and Resilience
Intervention Programs for Preservice Teachers in SUCs and HEIs.” You may cite
some significant ideas or research findings from the literatures you have read or
include other relevant readings of your choice to ensure a well- crafted,
appropriately contextualized introductory discussion.

3. From the same readings, prepare a comprehensive review of related literature and
studies. Synthesize research results, by organizing your paper according to similar
themes or findings, before moving on to those that present or discuss other theses
or premises.

4. Add at least 5 locally- initiated research in SUCs, private HEIs, preferably those that
have been undertaken during the pandemic period.

5. Given the research context, search for and propose the adoption of two theories.
Identify which one will you use as main theory and secondary or sub- theory. Discuss
in condensed form the main features of the theory/theories and explain its
relevance to the study. Illustrate in graphical format to show the links or associations
of the key concepts.

TASK 2: Due Date: September 17, 2022

1. Search the internet library for articles on how to write scientific research reports
following the IMRaD format. For purposes of familiarity, read from various sources.

2. Search for (5) foreign and (5) local literature and studies conducted for the last 5
years on the topic: “Measuring Occupational Stress, Social- Emotional
Competencies and Psychological Distress among Healthcare Professionals:
Developing a Gender- Sensitive Psychotherapy Program for Healthcare Professions
in the New Normal”

3. From your readings, prepare the following:

A. A 5- page Introduction, underscoring the critical importance of the research topic

and citing empirical support on the need to investigate the impact of COVID- 19
on the mental health and well- being of healthcare professionals (doctors,
nurses, psychologists, counselors, social workers)

B. A comprehensive literature review, minimum of 5, maximum of 10 each for

foreign and local literature and studies, undertaken within the last 7 years.

C. Given the research context, identify the following:

1. Research methodology, data- gathering techniques and statistical treatment
