The meaning of Human Condition.

If the Human nature is the ultimate principle of operation of given reality, and view as
having a three level or aspects the Somatic (refers to the body, material composition or
substance), Behavioral (refers to person’s mode of acting), Attitudinal (refers to mental reaction
to a given stimulus). Human condition is absorbing and embraces the totality of human nature. It
is to consider that how man exist and lives distinctively as a human. It is required that not only to
understand what is the state of life but also the meaning of life. Meaning of life means the sense
purpose, and directions to human life.

Man: according to Existentialists.

Existentialism is from the term existence. The term existence comes from Latin word
existere which means “to stand out”, “to emerge”. Existentialism is a way of philosophizing that
stresses the different between existing and living.
For the existentialists, man is the only kind of being that exist. Man is existing because
man is not real. This means that they see Reality is richer than existence because, for them,
reality is fullness, wholeness, completion, and perfection of being while existence is not full, not
whole, not perfect but is going to be full, to be whole, and to be perfect. Reality is made while
existence is still doing. The main purpose of existentialism is to snatch man away from being
totally devoured by this reality. Man must not only live, but also exist! Man should exist so that
man can stand out, can emerge, can assert himself despite all sorts of predicaments, problems,
and frustrations in life.
Existentialism takes man as the center or focus of attention because it attributes to man
the following:
-Man is subject. -Man’s existence is a “thrown” existence.
-Man is an initiator of action. -Man exists in a body.
-Man is the center of feelings and emotion. -Man is intrinsically free.
-Man is self-related and others-related. -Man has to admit the fact of death.
-Man is capable of transcendence. -Man is an open-ended entity.
