Central Idea Understanding the customs and traditions of the Christmas in different cultures

Christmas event occur during the term 2 with “Understanding children’s role and in their family and community”
theme. This means the students will learn and investigate their role in the context of their family and community
Curriculum
which are important for the child development. Through this Christmas theme, they have opportunities to learn
connection
about their family and members in their family (Pumpkin and Bamboo classes). The Blueberry class also have
chances to explore the differences and the similarities of families across the globe. Additionally, Green Palm
and Coconut classes could focus on the different communities, their rules as well as the connections of their
members

1. Enriching their understanding of the world they live by learning how other countries celebrate this special
time of year and how they are different

meaning of Christmas: being together, cherishing the love of family and friends and celebrating
belonging.
