1. In Course Assignment One you determined Booking Limits for rate classes using marginal analysis. You are
controls in this assignment. Compare and contrast the approaches in Course Assignment One and this assignm

a. How are they similar?


They both need the demand forecast for the rooms and both have certain price levels.
b. How they are different?

- Course Assignment 1: We set the prices differently based on the occupancy rate. The booking limits are then determine
higher as the price goes on, as we want to maximize the revenue by sparing some rooms in case some customers would w
- Course Assignment 2: We now have more detailed information: not only do we know the total forecast of the number o
length of stay. We don't have to do a lot of calculations but can use Solvers to test out the best scenario and maximize the
room type, we decide whether or not to receive bookings based on that, and sometimes the demands for lower cost room

c. What information they use?
