Determine where accessory side filter rack will be installed on furnace (left- or right-hand side). Punch out knockouts on side of furnace and field cut return air opening in furnace per dimensions indicated in Table 2 and Fig. 2. Using a Phillipstype screwdriver, remove the filter rack access door. Retain securing screws. Remove the two filters from the rack thru the access opening. 3. Position filter rack against furnace side opening so that bottom surface of filter rack is flush with the bottom edge of the furnace return ait opening. Insert blocks (or equivalent) under rack to keep it elevated in position, 4, Using holes in top flange of filter rack as pilots to mark position of corresponding holes on furnace casing, drill with @ no 31 drill thru furnace casing. Drill three holes thru each vertical flange and thru furnace casing, Secure sides of filter rack to furnace using six sheet metal screws provided. Seal bottom of filter rack to Furnace side panel with duct tape. Replace filters in filter rack, attach access door, and remove positioning blocks inserted in step 3.
