PALMISTRY JOURNEY!
Congratulations! You’re now the proud owner of Secret Signs in Your Palm, a guide to the
ancient art of palmistry.

You’re about to embark on a deeply-revealing journey. As you’ll soon discover, palmistry

offers invaluable information about who you are, your path in life and the best way to utilize
your gifts. You can tune in to your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual faculties to help
you understand your strengths, talents and purpose in life.

Fortune telling of all types has always fascinated us. Chiromancy is the formal name for
the art of analyzing personality and foretelling the future by studying a person’s palm. You
probably know it as palmistry, palm-reading or hand analysis. It’s found all over the world, and
those who practice it are generally called palmists, palm readers or hand readers.

Palmistry can trace its roots back to Indian (Hindu) Astrology (known in Sanskrit as Jyotish)
and Roma (gypsy) fortune tellers. From India, the art of palmistry spread to China, Tibet,
Egypt, Persia and to Europe.

You can put this ancient art to your own use – learn how your past has affected your current life
and how you can shape your future using those lessons.

This guide will reveal:

Common myths about Palmistry

Plus much, much more!

There are almost eight billion people in the world today, which means there are roughly
sixteen billion palms and as you’re about to discover, no two palms are the same.

THE TOP 10
MYTHS OF
PALMISTRY
JUST LIKE ANY OTHER DIVINATION METHOD, PALMISTRY
HAS ITS VERY OWN SET OF MYTHS ABOUT ITS ORIGINS,
MEANING, AND TIE-INS WITH HISTORICAL FIGURES.
Myths are usually created from fear. In this case, it’s fear that a metaphysical practice, and the
knowledge gained from it, will bring down a regime or turn the people away from governmental or
church guidance.

In fact, palmistry was suppressed throughout the Middle Ages and it was banned by King Henry
VIII, who said that anyone practicing palmistry or other metaphysical practices had to be a sorcerer
or devil worshiper!

Of course, today we know that these practices help us understand ourselves, others, and the world
around us and are actually beneficial.

But some of these myths are still hanging around, and we’re sharing them with you below to dispel
any of those sneaky thoughts that might be popping up in your mind.

You can read about them below:

MYT H # 1 PR EH IS TO R IC CU LT U R ES P R AC T IC ED PAL MIS T RY.

Some say the history of palmistry goes back to the Dawn of Time, and people will often point to
the paintings of hands found in the Stone Age caves of Africa, France and Spain as evidence of
prehistoric interest in the subject.

As exciting or romantic as this may seem, there are simply no facts to support this theory. Since our
prehistoric ancestors left no written records, we can only speculate as to why they painted hands
on the walls of their caves.

MYT H # 2 PA LM IS T RY WAS S T U D IED AN D P RAC T IC ED BY T H E AN C IEN T GREEKS & RO MAN S .

While it’s true that the ancient literature of India and China contained references to palmistry, we
have no surviving records from the ancient Greek or Roman cultures that supports the claim that
such notable names as Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates were practicing palm readers.

MYT H # 3 JU LIU S CA ESA R U N M AS K ED AN IMP OS TO R P RIN C E W IT H PAL MIS T RY.

There is a much-repeated story in palmistry that starts with Julius Caesar receiving a guest in his
palace who claimed to be a prince from a royal family.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 5 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

As the story is told, Caesar knew his palmistry, and after looking at the visitor’s palm, said the
man was an impostor and had him executed. The story usually ends with Caesar later getting
information that supported his imposter claim.

The facts that we have just don’t support this story. At least one Roman writer reported at the time
that the ruling class preferred astrology as their oracle, and looked down on palmistry and below
their station.

If this was indeed the case, it is highly unlikely that Caesar would have chosen palmistry to unmask
the fraudulent prince, and far more likely that he would have consulted the court astrologer.

MYT H # 4 T H E CAT H O L IC CH U RCH BAN N ED PAL MIS T RY.

Many sources like to play up the “forbidden wisdom” aspect of palmistry by claiming that the Catholic
Church condemned palmistry in 1000 AD and continued to outlaw it during the Middles Ages.

The fact is, with only two documented exceptions, every Pope in the Middle Ages exhibited an
interest in many of the so-called occult arts such as astrology, alchemy and palmistry. That time,
occult subjects were considered to be part of every educated person’s life, and were taught in
Church-run universities throughout Europe.

The fact that most of our earliest manuscripts on palmistry were found in European monasteries
reveals that the Roman Catholic Church actually helped preserve palmistry rather than persecute it.

MYT H # 5 GY P S IES BRO U G H T PA L M IST RY TO EU RO P E.

You’ll read in a number of places that during the 15th century the Gypsies migrated across Western
Europe and introduced the art of palmistry to Europeans.

The truth indicates that palmistry was reintroduced to Europe as an indirect result of the Crusades
in the 12th and 13th centuries. Although the Crusaders traveled to the Middle East to reclaim the
Holy Land for Christianity, they also formed alliances with some of the rulers there.

As a result, the Crusaders were exposed to many of the scholarly works of the Greeks and
the Romans. Among the texts that the Crusaders brought back were copies of manuscripts on
palmistry, beating the Gypsies by about 200 or 300 years.

MYT H # 6 GY PS IES W ER E BA N N ED F RO M PARIS & LO N DO N IN T H E 1 5 T H C EN T U RY.

One popular myth is that when the Gypsies (Rom) arrived in Paris and London, they were refused
entrance to those cities because they read palms.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 6 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

Ha! As the story goes, when they set up camp outside the city walls of Paris, the residents swarmed
out to greet them and have their fortunes told.

The part about the Rom being refused entrance to Paris and London may be true, but given the
acceptance of palmistry by both Church and State, it’s not likely that their practice of palmistry had
anything to do with them being shunned. It’s far more likely that other social and political reasons
were the reasons for keeping them out.

MYT H # 7 T H ER E IS N O S CIEN T IF IC BAS IS FO R PAL MIS T RY.

Palmistry is often associated with a number of other so-called “New Age” philosophies or systems that
have little scientific support, at least as we understand science today. The fact is, palmistry is one of
the few psychic sciences that has received been researched by 19th and 20th century scientists.

The number of reputable researchers that have studied palmistry is too lengthy to list here, but
the results have been of great value to modern day doctors who can diagnose many medical and
psychological conditions by examining the patterns and marks found on the hands and fingernails
of their patients.

MYT H # 8 YO U M U S T BE PSYCH IC TO READ PAL MS .

The truth? Not necessarily. It is entirely possible to give a meaningful and accurate palm reading by
using the basic knowledge found in this guide and any reputable book on palmistry.

It is true that many palm readers build on their book-knowledge by accessing their intuitive skills, but
these skills are available to just about everyone, if you’re willing to do the work to develop them.

Far more important to a fulfilling palm reading is a genuine desire to be helpful. With a caring spirit
and a good understanding of palmistry, you don’t have to possess “amazing” psychic powers.

MYT H # 9 YO U R L IF E L IN E PR ED ICT S W H EN YO U ’RE GO IN G TO DIE.

This is one of the most common misconceptions about palmistry. It probably originated in the
Middle Ages when someone in their thirties was considered to be a senior citizen, so at the time, it
probably was a safe bet for a fortune teller to predict an early death for just about anyone!

In these days of antibiotics and long life, the Life line has little or no value as an indicator of how
long you will live. What this line IS good for is determining the quality of life you are likely to enjoy!

MYT H # 1 0 YO U A R E D O O M ED BY T H E L IN ES IN YO U R H AN D.

This idea has even less truth to it than the last one, which is why it bears repeating.

The lines in your hand are created by your conscious and subconscious thoughts. Bio-electrical
impulses are sent to your hands, and over time create the lines seen in your palms. The fact is that
the lines in your hand change over time based on your thoughts and experiences. Knowing this, it’s
easy to see that the lines in your hand represent potential outcomes, NOT unchangeable truths.

You’ve probably heard the expression, “Your future is in your hands.” Well, it’s true!

Palmistry can tell you a lot about yourself and others. Read this guide, and next time you’re out with
friends or family, look at their hands and see how much you can learn about them.

Next to the face, the human hand is the most expressive

and revealing thing about a person!
Now, let’s get started!

In this section we’re going to share the 7 components to reading a palm. As you’re about to
discover, there are many features that are analyzed to complete a thorough hand reading. Continue
reading below to learn the essentials of palm reading, including:

The four major hand shapes

What the length, form and texture of fingers tell you
Fingernails – a quick glance can tell you a lot
The Mounts and what their size can indicate
The Lines – how they are created and what they have to say
The Markings and how they affect the lines
How to figure out the timing of major events

In addition, here are some tips to help you on your palm reading journey:

THE RIGHT AND LEFT HANDS ARE VERY DIFFERENT. You’ll find all kinds of opinions
about this online, but professional palm readers agree that the left hand shows potential and the
right hand shows what you’ve done with that potential.

In other words, the left hand shows what Universe has given you and the right shows what you’ve
done with that potential. This is why the right hand changes over your lifetime as you add to your
list of accomplishments!

READ BOTH HANDS. Start with the right hand and use the left hand for reference – what
hidden potential is revealed in the left hand that you want to see fulfilled in your right hand? The
meanings for every line, mount and marking is the same – but which hand you find them in tells you
whether this is something you’ve already achieved or something you can achieve in the future. As
you learned, the lines in your hand change over time as you discover and fulfill your destiny!

EXAMINE ALL ASPECTS OF THE HAND. As you’ll soon learn, hand shape, finger length,
texture, and form, mount development, fingernails, lines and marks all play a part in reading a palm.

By reading the information provided in this guide, and with a little practice, you’ll soon be able to
read palms with ease!

HAND READING COMPONENT #1

HAND SHAPES

Hands fall into four main shapes that match the classic elements of Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
Most hands are a mixture of these types – so just pick the shape looks closest to the hand you’re
reading. When figuring out hand shape, it’s helpful to know that the overall length of your fingers is
measured in relation to the size of your palm. The palm begins at the wrist and ends at the first joint
of your fingers. If your fingers are as long as your palm, they are considered long. Short fingers are
shorter than seven-eighths the height of the palm.

THE EART H HA ND

The Earth Hand has a square palm with very short fingers. It’s also known
as the practical hand. The person with an Earth Hand is strong, sensible,
practical and is firmly rooted in the physical plane. They don’t like change and
they can be stubborn. Earth types aren’t dreamers – they will never dream of
a rich lifestyle with a big house and a lot of cars. Instead, they will aim for what
they can afford at the moment.

You’ll notice that those with an Earth Hand don’t ask for help very often – they are very self-
reliant. And they’re not great at showing their emotions. So, if you’re romantically involved with
someone with an Earth Hand, while they might feel deep love for you, you’ll have to work hard to
get them to express it with words. They are more comfortable, “saying it with flowers,” or some
other token of love.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 11 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

Earth Hands love nature, and many have a green thumb, so if you have a friend with this hand type,
they’re your go-to person for gardening and plant tips! They often have jobs or careers where they
work with their hands. Celebrities with earth hands include Mike Tyson, Tiger Woods, Jennifer
Aniston and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

THE AIR H AND

The Air Hand has a square palm with fingers that are either quite long
or are the same length as the palm. The Air hnd is also called the thinking
hand. The square shape of the palm gives practical, realistic, down-to-earth
qualities, while the fingers depict someone who is mentally active, logical,
intelligent and patient. And Air types love detail. Those with an Air Hand
would rather keep busy mentally rather than physically. Someone with an
Air Hand is a friend or partner who would rather play board games or visit a
museum than go on a hike. In a romantic relationship, Air types are better at talking about their
emotions than showing them, making them the opposite of someone with an Earth Hand.

Good careers for a person with an Air Hand include journalism, teaching or anything that means using
their mind – they become restless or bored without mental stimulation. Celebrities with Air Hands are
“House” actor Hugh Laurie, Jack Black, Channing Tatum, Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga.

THE F IRE H AND

The Fire Hand has short fingers like the Earth Hand, but has a rectangular
palm. It also is known as the intuitive hand. This is the person in your group
who solves the problem while everyone else is wondering what to do. They
love a challenge and are always willing to take a risk.

They are extroverted, fun-loving and charismatic, so your friends with Fire
Hands will be the life of the party! Those with Fire Hands need physical
activity, so you’ll often find them playing sports, doing yoga or spending a lot of time at the gym
– this is how they work out their frustrations. They’re passionate and excitable and if you get
romantically involved with a Fire type, they are positive, confident and willing to take the lead, but
they can be restless and get bored easily. They will definitely keep you on your toes!

People with this type of hand gravitate to the emergency services – ambulance, fire, or police. They
may also enjoy sports and the entertainment field. Celebrities with Fire hands include Michael
Jackson, Brad Pitt and Robin Williams.

THE WAT ER HAND

The Water Hand also has a rectangular palm, but with long fingers. It’s
also known as the feeling hand, and Water types are artistic and emotional.

Those with a Water Hand have a great eye for detail, but they can be
unworldly or impractical, and prefer peace and quiet to a busy social
scene. Take a look at the hand of a shy, quiet, friend – they probably have
a Water Hand.

They are very sensitive to slight or insult – because they have such a strong connection to their
emotions, their feelings are easily hurt, and they also can pick up other people’s moods without
even realizing it. This means that even though you didn’t say anything, a Water type will be able
to tell if you’re upset or angry with them. They are quite empathic. In romance, they can have a
difficult time facing reality and often “fall in love with love,” which can create problems in their
relationships.

Because of their deep sensitivity, they do best in the caring professions such as social work,
counseling or therapy. Celebrities with Water Hands include Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie and
Denzel Washington.

HAND READING COMPONENT #2

FINGERS

It’s not all in the palm! The fingers tell their own story that weaves into the tale the palm is telling.

Finger shape and length both matter and provide real insight into what may be
hidden character traits in yourself and others.
Exploring these traits leads to self-growth. You may not like some of them, but knowing about
them is the first step to making desired changes in your life. And who doesn’t want a happier, more
fulfilling life?!

As you learned above, the overall length of your fingers is measured in relation to the size of your
palm. The palm begins at the wrist and ends at the first joint of your fingers. If your fingers are as
long as your palm, they are considered long. Short fingers are shorter than seven-eighths the height
of the palm.

FI N GE R L E NGTH:
LONG F INGERS

Those with Long fingers are intellectually motivated. They’re interested in the details of stories
and events. They like to mentally take ideas apart and put them back together again to better
understand them before acting on them – they’ll also ask the opinions of others. You’ll have many
fun, interesting discussions with your long-fingered friends.

Interestingly, there are more long-fingered women than men.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 14 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

S H ORT F INGERS

Those with Short fingers operate more using their instinct rather than looking for information from
other people. Short-fingered people are action-oriented and can be impulsive. Don’t expect your
short-fingered friends to ask you for advice – they lean on their intuition rather than information
from other people and they can resent any interference.

FI N GE R T E XTU RE A N D F O RM :
S MOOT H FING E RS

Smooth fingers don’t have prominent joints or knuckles – they are even on the sides and don’t have
the usual bulges. Those with smooth know what’s important in any situation and take action. They
don’t care much about the details and like spontaneity, so if you’re looking for help planning any
sort of event that has lots of little specifics, like a party or wedding, this is not the friend to ask!

KNOT T Y F ING E RS

The knotty-fingered person is ruled by reason. Knotty fingered types are often very open minded,
so if you have a friend with knotty fingers, you can talk to them about pretty much anything! They
are the person to ask if you need help with pretty much anything, as they really enjoy the details,
planning and making lists.

There are other personality traits that fingers can reveal:

Fingers set evenly on a line above the mounts – meaning that the the index, middle and ring
fingers are in a straight line with one another where they connect to the palm – indicate success.

Look at the hand when it’s relaxed and see how close together the fingers are to each other.

– You are an independent thinker if your little finger stands apart from the ring finger.

– A creative life is shown when the ring finger sticks close to the middle finger. You might be an
artist, musician or writer

– If the middle finger and the index finger stick close together, it shows that you will gain
authority and rank through your hard work. If they stand apart, then your position will come
from other means.

D I D YOU K NOW THAT E V E RY FING E R I N YO U R HAND I S CO NNECTE D TO A PL A N ET
W I TH CERTAIN C HARACTE RIS TICS ?

That’s right! You can tap into the innate power of the planets by paying attention to what fingers
you adorn.

Rings worn on different fingers tell their own story. This applies to both hands equally, with one
significant exception – your left ring finger:

The index finger is connected to Jupiter and represents leadership, ambition and self-
confidence. Kings, priests and healers thought the index finger was especially powerful and
often wore rings on that finger.

The middle finger is connected to Saturn and is also the tallest finger. It stands for balance,
justice, the law, responsibility and soul-searching. It’s also the center of the hand and represents
personal identity. A ring on this digit can symbolize power and responsibility.

The ring finger is connected to the Sun, and wearing a ring on this finger means a connection
to the heart. Traditional belief says the vein, Vena Amoris, or the “Vein of Love,” ran directly from
the fourth finger of the left hand to the heart. It is associated with our feelings of affection and
love and our creativity and artistic self. Wearing a ring on this finger on the left hand represents
to others a betrothal to the giver of the ring and a commitment of faithfulness. If you purchased
the ring yourself, it represents self-love and self-worth and belief in talent.

The little finger is connected to Mercury. A ring on this finger shows confidence in business and
personal relationships. It is a symbol of strength and the desire to bond with others.

THE T H UM B
The thumb represents the logic and willpower that controls our actions. The thumb, though it’s
independent from the other fingers, works together as part of a team with the rest of the hand. It
symbolizes independent thought and freedom. A ring worn on your thumb will show people your
confidence.

The thumb is connected to the planet Mars and can tell you a lot about a person’s personality, even
without reading the rest of the palm or fingers!

If straight and well-shaped, it shows intellect and determination.

If it’s supple and easily bent backward, it shows impulsiveness and generosity. People with this
type of thumb are usually broad minded and liberal.

Less adaptable people have stiff-jointed thumbs. They are very cautious and like to be in control
and control others as well!

HAND READING COMPONENT #3

FINGERNAILS

A quick glance at the fingernails can tell you a lot. This is something you can easily do anywhere,
even on public transportation!

Met someone while out and about and wonder if they might make a good friend or potential
romantic partner? Sneak a peek at their fingernails and read the story they tell!

Square nails reveal practicality and common sense. This can be good if you either need
this in your life or get along well with people with these traits.

Excessively broad nails show a person with a tendency to quarrel. Probably best avoided!

Conic or oval nails reveal artistic creativity but sometimes impractical nature. Have an
artistic, creative bent? This type of person might make a good friend, as long as their
impracticality doesn’t drive you crazy!

Spatulate nails (these nails are broad, and wide at the top) signal creativity, love of
metaphysics and an ironic sense of humor. If you can take the sarcasm, go for it! And
since you’re reading this, you obviously have a love of metaphysics, so you will have that
in common.

HAND READING COMPONENT #4

THE MOUNTS

The mounts are the fleshy cushions at the base of the fingers and on each side of the palm. The
hand should be held palm up and flat, with fingers extended when reading the mounts. The level of
development of the mount affects the meaning:

A mount is considered normally developed when it is easy to see, smooth and even with no lumps
or bumps, and firm to the touch.

An underdeveloped mount is relatively flat and difficult to locate.

An overly-developed mount is extremely prominent and plump.

M OUNT OF J UPITE R

The Mount of Jupiter is at the base of the index, or pointer finger. It shows how you perceive the
world and how you want others to view you.

If the mount is normally developed, it indicates someone who has a strong spiritual connection and
loves to help others. This person also has a positive attitude, something you want in a friend or lover.

You might want to avoid those with the following types of the Mount of Jupiter: If the mount
is over-developed and higher than the others, this can mean a person wants to dominate other
people, is self-centered and lacks compassion. If there is a flatness or the mount is undeveloped, it
means they have low self-confidence and a lack of ambition.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 18 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

MOUN T OF SATURN

The Mount of Saturn is found below the middle finger. It tells a story of patience, duty and
responsibility. If normally developed, the person is friendly and independent, and they believe
things happen as they should. If you’re easy-going, this person would make a great friend or
partner.

Less appealing is the person with an overdeveloped Mount of Saturn. This person is stubborn to a
fault, cynical and mistrusting. They also can be prone to depression and will probably appear shy.

If the Mount of Saturn is underdeveloped, the person is probably disorganized and superficial and
doesn’t do much self-examination.

MOUN T OF A POLLO

The Mount of Apollo, also known as the Mount of the Sun, is at the base of the ring finger at the
upper part of the Heart Line. If well-developed, it indicates a flexible person with a love of life,
gaiety and an appreciation of artistic things. If you have a creative disposition, this person could
make a good friend or partner.

If over-developed the person might have anger issues and often causes problems with friends,
family and romantic partners. If flat, this person is dull and not very outgoing. They probably have a
hard time making good decisions as well.

MOUN T OF ME RC URY

The Mount of Mercury is beneath the little finger. It’s an indication of business success, finances,
practicality and adaptability. If well-developed, it shows someone who will be successful in
business. This person can read people really well – a useful skill if that’s something you’re lacking
and you need a solid opinion on another person.

A lack of honesty is signaled when the Mount of Mercury is underdeveloped, and this person is
probably also greedy and will do whatever it takes to get money or material possessions. A flat or
absent mount means this person is shy and probably won’t achieve a lot of financial success.

MOUN T OF MOON

The Mount of Moon, also known as the Mount of Luna is on the palm of the hand at its base,
on the little finger side of the hand. Like everything connected with the moon, it is a symbol of
intuition, creativity and vivid imagination.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 19 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

If it’s normally developed, it shows a person with creative power; someone who has a love of the
arts and nature. It also indicates strong intuitive or psychic abilities. This person would make a great
friend or partner as they are also compassionate and would help any friend in need.

An overly developed Mount of Luna may mean a person is detached from reality – they let their
imagination run wild and spends their life in a fantasy world. A flat or absent mount means person
with little imagination, or someone deep in their own thoughts.

MOUN T OF VE NUS

The Mount of Venus is at the base of the thumb. As you might guess, it deals with love, passion,
romance and sensuality. A normally developed mount is found in hand of a warm-hearted person
who loves gaiety, romance and the finer things in life. Oh la la!

If it’s overly developed, the Mount of Venus shows a person who seeks instant gratification (one-
night stands) or who “plays the field.” If under developed or missing, the person probably isn’t much
interested in romance.

L INE # 1 T HE LIFE LINE

The Life Line begins between the thumb and first finger and continues around the base of the thumb
towards the wrist. Contrary to popular belief, this line has nothing to do with how long you will live.

A Life Line that runs close to the thumb indicates that you’re often very tired.

One that is strongly curved means exceptional energy.

A short and shallow line means that you can be easily manipulated by others.

A big, long curve in a semicircle shows your strength and enthusiasm for life.

If you have a straight line that almost reaches the end of your palm, it shows you’re cautious
when starting a new relationship of any kind.

An island on the Life Line marks a time of injury or hospitalization.

If there’s been a sudden change in lifestyle, you’ll see a break in the line.

If forked at the base of the hand, you’ll travel and live at a long distance from your place of birth.

L INE #2 T HE HE AD LINE

The Head Line begins between your first and second fingers (index finger and middle finger), and
there are two types of Head Lines – the practical and the imaginative. Practical people typically
have a straight head line, while those who are more creative and spontaneous feature a curved line.

A short line that only reaches your middle finger indicates you like physical tests and achievements
rather than mental tasks, and you’re are sometimes careless or hasty in your decisions.

A long line that extends to under the little finger shows a clear mind, and consideration
toward others.

A line of medium length, that reaches the ring finger, is the most common and shows
intelligence and great potential.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 22 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

A Head Line separated clearly from the life line means enthusiasm for life and adventure.

A wavy line means a short attention span.

A circle or a cross in the line indicates some sort of emotional crisis.

Multiple crosses in your Head Line shows you’ll face many important decisions at the points of
those crosses.

A broken line could mean stress or mental health issues.

A line that curves steeply downward indicates a very strong imagination and artistic talent.

If the end of the Head Line is close to the heart line, it shows a talent at creating and
maintaining personal relationships.

If the Head Line and Life Line overlap, you’re an introvert.

If the Head Line is far apart from your Life Line, it signals you’re bold, extroverted and highly
independent.

L INE # 3 T HE HE ART LINE

Sometimes also referred to as the Love Line, the Heart Line runs along the top of the palm just
below the knuckles. You can read the heart line from the little finger to the index finger or in the
reverse direction. This line can give you a strong insight into your own emotional side, as well as
others. It provides an understanding of previous and future actions of the heart.

A line that begins below your index finger shows contentment with a current romance.

A line that begins below your middle finger means selfishness in areas of love.

If your Heart Line begins in the middle of the hand, it means you fall in love easily.

A short and straight line indicates little or no interest in romance.

You freely express your thoughts and feelings if you have a long and curvy Heart Line.

A heart that is easily broken has a Heart Line that touches the Life Line.

A Heart Line that runs straight and parallel to the Head line demonstrates good control of
emotions, stability, and friendliness.

If you have a Heart Line that curves upward, it shows you’re comfortable and good at talking
about love and feelings.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 23 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

A line curving downward, however, indicates a weak character and that you are a person who
has problems talking about their emotions.

A wavy heart line represents many relationships, but no serious romances.

An island on your Heart Line shows a period of depression or sadness about love.

If the Love Line has many islands, making it look like an iron chain, you’re sentimental and
may be involved in many emotional entanglements. It may also symbolize you’re involved in a
relationship, but still have feelings for others.

A broken line indicates emotional trauma, as do smaller lines crossing the Heart Line.

A doubled love line is the Heart Line of the polyamorist. It shows someone capable of having
more than one romantic relationship at the same time.

L INE #4 T HE MARRIAG E LINE ( S)

The Marriage Line(s) lies at the base of the little finger above the Heart Line, and indicates the state
of the love life and marriage.

The nearer the Marriage Line is to the Heart Line, the earlier in life you’ll marry.

It should lie straight and clear on both hands – short lines mean short-lived affairs that don’t result
in marriage.

At one time it was said that if the Marriage Line ended in an island, the marriage would end in scandal.

Multiple Marriage lines can indicate multiple serious relationships, and in some cases may mean
divorce and remarriage to the same partner.

L INE # 5 T HE CHILDRE N LINE S

Children Lines go straight up-and-down and are found at the base of the little finger towards the edge
of the hand, above the marriage line. They can be hard to see, since they are usually faint in relation to
the other lines on the hand.

Straight and strong lines indicate boys.

Finer, slightly sloped lines indicate girls.

If a Children Line is long and running up toward the little finger, the child will have a successful
career.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 24 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

If the children line forks at the end, it’s an indication of twins.

Children lost to miscarriage or stillbirth can also be reflected on the hand.

Have no child lines but you want children? Don’t despair! As a general rule, If you have a properly
developed mount of Venus, a properly developed mount of Mars, no abnormalities in the Mount of the
Moon (specifically in women), a reasonably strong thumb, and the wristlet at the bottom of your palm
is not high or curved inside your palm, you will not have any problem, even without the children lines.

L INE #6 T HE FATE LINE

The Fate Line is the center line starting from the base of the hand toward the middle finger. It tells
the story of a person’s career.

If straight and unbroken, a steady march to success is indicated.

If the Fate Line is broken, there will be career setbacks.

If unbroken, it represents a career that is free from violent change, such as a layoff or firing.

If the Fate Line is broken, with a gap between the two ends, there will be a change in
occupation, with a gap between the new job and old one.

Islands in the Fate Line indicate periods of difficulty and anxiety. How long these periods last
depends on the length of the island.

If the Fate Line ends with a clear cross, a career ending in danger is suggested.

No Fate Line means the person will place other priorities above their career.

L INE #7 T HE SUCE S S LINE

The Line of Success, also called the Line of Sun, runs from the wrist to the base of the middle
finger. It is as the Sun is to the Earth, and whenever it appears on the hand it promises brightness,
success, and increased fortune. This fortune can be made by you or come through a wealthy
marriage or an inheritance.

L INE #8 T HE TRAVE L LINE

Travel lines are found low down near where the Fate Line begins, under your middle finger.

If the Travel Lines are clear and uninterrupted, there’s a love of travel.

If they are deep and far from the Life Line, then you’re likely to live abroad.

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 25 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

If the Travel Line is thicker than the Life Line, it’s likely you grew up in one place, but will
ultimately live and die in a foreign land.

The longer the Travel Line is, the more chances you’ll have for foreign travel.

If the Travel Line is short, you’re likely to only travel to places near home, such as day trips or
weekend getaways.

L INE # 9 T HE BRACE LE TS

The Bracelets, which circle the wrist, show vitality and personal magnetism. Most people are born
with two bracelet lines. And, since the third and fourth bracelet lines are acquired, you can motivate
yourself in thought and behavior to move in the right direction to add these two additional lines. For
example, if the two-bracelet meaning doesn’t suit you and you want more control in your work life,
concentrate on taking the necessary steps to do that – maybe take classes or vocational training to
improve your job skills to get what you want – and add that third bracelet if it’s not already there!

It’s said that the right hand bracelets are read for women and the left hand
bracelets are read for men.

If there are two complete bracelets, it means you’ll probably be a worker whose life is ruled by
destiny rather than by their control.

Three neat and complete bracelets with no break indicate wealth, health and happiness.

If all the three bracelets are long and obvious with no break or messy lines, it means a person
will enjoy longevity, seldom fall ill and is someone who is shrewd and capable.

If the bracelet lines are broken, it indicates you aren’t taking proper responsibility for your life
and need to take action to improve things that aren’t working.

If all the bracelets are thin and not very obvious, it indicates a person has expensive tastes,
tends to be hedonistic and lacks ambition.

Four bracelets mean extreme luck. The fourth usually is derived from the good deeds you or
your ancestors have done in past lives and it is a symbol of happiness and good health.

Small lines from the bracelet to the Mount of Luna means travel in foreign countries.

W H AT IF I’M M IS SING LINE S?

Everyone is going to have the three major lines, which are considered the Life Line, the Heart Line
and the Head Line.

But, what if you’re missing some other lines?

Because our thoughts and desires change, new lines can form and older ones can fade.

If you are missing marriage and children lines, it could be that you are preoccupied with career
and these subjects are not part of you conscious or subconscious mind right now.

The Fate Line is not usually present in young children and is even missing in some adults. If this
is missing in your palm, you might be a “self made” person and feel that fate played no part in
your success.

If the Success Line is missing, it shows some dissatisfaction in your life or career choices. Look at
what you are doing, and make sure it’s aligned with what you want in your life.

MARKINGS

The markings below show negative or positive interruptions in the normal flow of the lines in the
palm, and can appear anywhere in the palm. They can warn of difficulties, separations, traumatic
events or health problems.

They also can indicate positive things, such as problem resolution or emotional healing, depending
on where they are located. They can also enhance or weaken the energies in the areas they appear.

Keep reading to discover what the markings in your palm mean for you.

STA R S
The Stars, with one exception, are signs of good luck!

On the Mount of Jupiter, a star (or stars) mean material and social success.

The Mount of Saturn is not a good position for a star - it means you’ll have persistent challenges
in life.

On the Mount of Apollo, stars mean riches, fame and glory, but remember that happiness does
not always go with wealth.

On the Mount of Mercury, stars indicate success in mental and scientific pursuits and the
promise of a prosperous career.

On the Mount of Luna, stars show you are creative and have a great imagination, which means
the promise of brilliant success in the domains of invention or literature.

On the Mount of Venus, a star puts you in the category of one of the the great lovers of the
world! Be sure to keep an eye out for this one.

CRO S S
While most crosses are positive, they can also be a sign of long-lasting problems if found on any of
the three basic lines – Life Line, Head Line and Heart Line. Read on for the good news!

B ELOW T HE I ND E X FING E R

You’re easygoing if there’s a cross below your index finger on the Mount of Jupiter. This is also a
sign that you’ll receive help from your lover, friends, subordinates or brothers and sisters in your
career, as well as enjoy a happy and warm family life. You’ll have it all!

B ELOW T HE MIDD LE FING E R

If the cross is below the middle finger, it shows you’re talented in many ways and you’re good at
both mental and physical activities. Adaptability and versatility are signaled by a cross below your
middle finger.

B ELOW T HE RING FING E R

If the cross is below the ring finger, it says you’re helpful, popular among the opposite sex and
interested in public welfare. You may easily get wealth due to the help of the opposite sex, perhaps
through a lucky marriage.

B ELOW T HE L ITTLE FING E R

If the cross is below the little finger, it implies you put emphasis on looks and tend to judge others’
appearance. If this bothers you, work to have more of an inner life.

THE M Y S T IC C R O SS
A cross between the head line and the heart line in the center of the palm is called the mystic
cross. If you have this cross, you can count on strong intuition a sixth sense, and your dreams
probably often come true. You like to study mysterious and metaphysical subjects and are talented,
ambitious and insightful.

SQUAR E
Squares are a mark of protection, especially when they appear around line breaks. They can
symbolize good luck from outside sources, for example, your guardian angel.

ISLA N DS
Islands are important and not favorable signs in anyone’s palm. They indicate periods where you’ve
had problems, whether these are physical or psychological. They weaken the positive qualities of
any line where they appear.

THE L E T T E R M
The Letter M is formed when the major lines cross over in the center of the palm, formed by the
Heart Line, Head Line and Life Line. This is believed to be mean good fortune. It also indicates a
person with good intuition. People who have this marking are also known to be trustworthy, and
they make generally good companions and business associates.

TRI D E N T S
A trident is a line with three forks at the top. They can point upward or downward.

On the Mount of Venus, a trident indicates you have or will find your true love.

On the Mount of Mars, it indicates someone who is athletic and excels at sports.

If you find a Trident at the end of your Head Line, it means you have great communication and
business skills and you’ll have career success.

A Trident on the Mount of the Moon shows you have a very strong imagination and are a
creative thinker. You’re also a romantic.

It’s a very fortunate sign to have a Trident at the end of the Heart Line, especially if it ends under
the Mount of Jupiter. You’re emotionally, mentally and physically very strong and stable. This
sign is found in the hands of wealthy people.

If your Fate Line ends in a well-formed, clear Trident, it’s a clear indication that you will become
successful and wealthy. If it ends at the Mount of Saturn, this wealth will probably come through
real estate.

A Trident on the Mount of Mercury means you’re magnetic and charming, which helps your
career success. You have great communication and business skills.

On the Mount of Jupiter, this Trident is a mark of success and recognition. You’re full of ambition
and like to lead.

A Trident on the Mount of Saturn is a sign of wisdom and material wealth. However, that wealth
will come from hard work and struggle.

On the Mount of the Sun, a Trident indicates a person is (or will be, if in the left hand), rich,
famous, successful and wealthy. Lucky you!

B RE A K S
Breaks in the major or minor lines can represent both positives and negatives, depending on which
way they lie.

Breaks going toward the thumb can indicate a new direction in a career.

Breaks going in the upward direction toward the edges of the hand suggest an unexpected
journey.

If they are pointing to the base of the palm this can mean an unexpected turn in your daily
routine.

These breaks can indicate that there is an interruption in one’s normal flow of energy or signify
a redirection in one’s life path.

THE GR E AT T R I A N G LE
The Great Triangle is formed by the Life, Head and Health lines. The larger it is, the better it is for
luck, health and happiness. But the quality of the individual lines that form the triangle is most
important.

THE QUAD R A N G LE
The Quadrangle is the area between between the Heart and Head lines. The fewer small lines upon
it the better, as these indicate worry and nervousness. If the Quadrangle is even and well-shaped, it
indicates a balanced mind.

HAND READING COMPONENT #7

TIMING

There’s no method that is guaranteed to work every time when it comes to timing past or future
events in the palm.

Most palm readers see the average lifespan as 80 years.

This timing method can be applied to any line on the palm. Remember, that every line begins at the
top, meaning where the line is closest to the fingers:

The first quarter length from the beginning of the line represents the ages 1-20.

The second quarter length is ages 20-40.

The third quarter, ages 40-60.

And the last ages 60-80.

PALMISTRY
AND LOVE:
ROMANTIC
COMPATIBILITY

OR
HOW CAN PALMISTRY HELP ME FIND MY ONE TRUE LOVE?
Now, let’s get to the good stuff – applying what we’ve learned to love and romance! After all, it’s
what makes the world go ‘round and our palms sweat!

Will your relationship will be blessed with compatibility or marred by constant confrontation?
That overdeveloped Mount of Venus can be a real deal-breaker. And what if you long for a fun,
passionate romance with a Fire Hand but your blind date is a wishy-washy Water type?

Using the Elemental Hand System, you’ll soon find out if you want to march on hand-in-hand or tell
them to keep their paws to themselves!

Read on to see how palmistry can help you find the love you seek.

STE P ON E : C O MPA R E HA ND SH A PES

Do you both have the same type of hand? If so, it’s a good sign that you’ll get along because you’ll
share a similar approach toward life. And, this means you’ll agree with each other most of the time.
Fewer disagreements, more harmony.

If the hand types are different, you’ll need to think about how well the elements (Earth, Air, Fire,
Water) of each hand go together. There are both positive and negative combinations.

For example, Air and Fire would be a great combination, since Fire thrives in the presence of Air. Air
and Earth is another good combination, since all living things bloom when they get the nourishment
of Air and Earth.

A negative combination would be Water and Fire, since too much Water will extinguish Fire, and
too much Fire puts Water on the boil!

Water and Air would at first glance seem to work, since we need both to live, but this combination
is neutral since in nature as mixing these two elements doesn’t really produce much of anything.

STE P T WO: C O M PA RE HEA RT L INES

In matters of the heart, what matters more than the heart itself? Compare your Heart lines.

The best sign of compatibility is when Heart lines end in the same place.

The ideal ending positions of the Heart Line is between the Jupiter and Saturn fingers, or rather
the index and second finger. If your Heart Lines end here, this means both of you have learned to
balance your personal needs with the needs of others, and have fairly realistic expectations for and
within a romantic relationship. Sounds good!

© Copyr i g ht 2 0 1 9 Nu m e ro log is t. co m 35 Secret Sig ns In You r Pal m

If both hands have Heart lines that end under the Jupiter finger, both people will be idealistic, and
will end up hurt and disappointed when the other person doesn’t live up to their relationship vision.
There is no shared vision here, so this type of relationship is probably best avoided.

When both Heart lines finish under the Saturn finger, both of you will be self-centered and put your
needs ahead of the other person’s in just about every situation. Doesn’t sound like an ideal romance.

The most difficult combination would be when one person’s line ends under the Jupiter finger and
the other person’s line ends under the Saturn finger. In a combination like this, one person would
certainly put themselves first in the relationship, much to the disappointment of the other person.

If the Heart lines end in similar positions, but not the ideal position, the relationship can work,
if both are willing to do the work. Each partner will need to be aware of how the other person
experiences their emotional life, and how they relate to other people.

For example, one person may not be as expressive as their partner, and will need to work at
being more emotionally open. On the other side of the relationship, the other person may need
to understand that their partner has deep emotions, but prefers to keep them inside rather than
express them. In this case, it would be wise to bring out your partner’s emotional side with signs of
affection such as flowers, cards, and verbal expressions.

STE P T H R E E : C O MPA R E T HU M BS
Challenge them to a thumb wrestling match! Now, sneak those glances at their thumbs.

Ideally, the thumbs should be alike. Remember that the flexibility of the thumb is an indication of
how flexible or stubborn a person can be. The pairing of two people, one with a stiff thumb and the
other a flexible thumb, would be mean that one person would be dominant over the other.

A good match would be two people with flexible thumbs, indicating they would both be willing to
give a little when a confrontation comes up. On the other side of the compatibility coin, two people
with stiff, inflexible thumbs might seem like a bad match, but the relationship could be saved if they
are both were willing to compromise.

STE P FOU R : C O MPA R E T HE M OU NT S OF VENU S

The last feature to compare would be the Mounts of Venus. The more similar the Mounts of Venus
are, the more compatible you two will be.

Since the Mount of Venus is an indication of a person’s approach to their sexuality, a large
difference in the dimensions between you and your partners’ Mount of Venus could mean you don’t
have the same views on the importance and frequency of intimacy in the relationship.

MOVING FORWARD

If you don’t like something you see in your hand – change it. Everyone has the ability to transform
their life – and the world, if you put your mind to it. Palmistry can teach you lessons, if you’re willing
to learn. Change your thoughts and intentions to shift your energy and make your desires manifest.
Change your hand and change your life!

You’ve learned that the lines and other symbols in your palm are living, ever-changing things. Now,
how do you take that knowledge and transform your life?

Take some time to study your left palm – do you have untapped potential? Make a list of what
areas in your palm that potential lies and then do something about it. Perhaps your palm tells you
that you will find true love. Yet, you sit at home watching reruns of “Friends” instead of making new
friends of your own. Get out there and meet new people – and don’t forget to look at their thumbs!

Remember, the lines in your hand are created by your conscious and subconscious thoughts.

Change the way you think about things. Meditate. Try some self-hypnosis to delve into your
subconscious and set your intention(s)!

After you’ve set your intention(s), keep an eye on your palm. Changes are slow and subtle, so be
patient and check every six months to a year.

You can use your newly-acquired palmistry skills to learn things about yourself and others.
Remember – Take your life in hand and shape your own destiny!
