Explain your answer. For a moment, the corridor was dark and empty, with only the noise of a few hungry rats breaking the silence. Then, in the distance, a small light appeared, and the sound of running footsteps filled the air It was a young boy with blond hair, a thin face and dark green eyes. He had his mobile phone in his hand and he was using its torch to show him the way in the dark. Every time the boy passed a door in the corridor, he stopped and tried to open it. But all the doors were locked, and he began to look more and more worried Suddenly, he sensed a movement. The boy looked back down the corridor, but there was nobody there. Then, he saw a security camera on the wall slowly tum im his direction, its red light flashing. The boy began to run again. As he ran around acomer,h door. It was a big metal door, and it looked very secure. He looked up at the walls for more security cameras, but there weren't any in this section of the building Quickly, the boy entered the small room and closed the heavy door behind him, For a moment, the boy waited and listened, his breathing fast, his cyes frightened. Then, he took his phone and put the camera in front of his face. “Listen very carefully,” he said, in a serious voice. “This ‘Angel’s Game’ is not a simple game. If somebody contacts you online to play it, don’t! It’s a lie ~ believe me, it’s alla lie! I don’t know Angel, but | know that she’s dangerous Don't believe her!” He looked around the room quickly and then looked back into his camera, “1'm logging out now,” he said, in a low voice. “I’m going all the police and tell them my location.” He typed a number into his phone, but before he could to finish, an angry emoji appeared on his screen. Then, his phone suddenly died, and he heard the door click from outside. The boy was alone in the dark. In the IT room of Wellington Secondary School in central London, the teacher, Mr Hayes, sat and looked out of the window at the River Thames At the back of the classroom, Matt and Harry were playing a game of cards noisily. They loved Mr Hayes’ class - not because they liked IT, but because the young teacher never made them do anything, ‘The majority of the other students felt the same, Some were checking Facebook, some were playing online games and others were watching videos on YouTube. Only one student ‘was trying to work ~ a young girl with long dark hair, called Jess. She was sitting near Matt and Harry and was getting more and more irritated by their noisy game. “Can you be quict?” shouted the girl. I'm trying to work ond it’s | impossible! At the front of the class, Mr Hayes turned around and looked at her. “Don't shout, Jess! You're making more noise than anybody else in the class!” “Tim making noise?" Jess answered, standing up angrily ‘Sir, Matt and Hany are playing a stupid game and not doing their work, Nobody is working. Don't you care?” Mr Hayes shook his head. “Not really. If students don't want to learn, 1 can’t force them.” ‘What? Of course you can!” Jess replied. “It’s your job!” Youre the teacher! peg _ Bi Mr Hayes looked irritated. “Stop shouting, Jess. I'm putting your name on my list of problem students. You're being very impertinent.” He went back to his desk and started to type something on his computer. Jess looked furious, and Matt and Harry started to laugh. “Sir, who's at the top of your problem students list now? Is it still Eddie Morton?” Harry asked. “yes, Edward almost destroyed my computer with his stupid virus, so he'll always be at the top of my list,” Mr Hayes replied, looking around the classroom. “And talking about Edward ... Where is he? Before anybody could answer, somebody Knocked on the door and the headmistress entered the room with two police officers. “1'm sorry to interrupt your class, Mr Hayes, but these officers need to speak to the students. I think I know the answer to the first clue, and I'm close to the river At that moment, the video stopped and the home screen reappeared. Matt tried to return to the video but, one by one, all five videos disappeared from the screen, “What happened?” asked Jess, shocked. “someone has just deleted all Eddie's videos!” Harry replied. “This is scary.” == Half an hour later, Harry, Matt and Jess left the headmistress office, “Do you think she believed us?” asked Harry {don’t know, but the police officer was right ~ without that video, it will be difficult to find Eddie,” said Jess They walked silently towards the exit. Wait ... here's another message! It says ...” Jess suddenly looked around, frightened. | arm ess? If we find anything, we'll call the police.” Jess followed the boys to the fence at the back of the school, and they climbed over it quite casily. Quickly, they ran to the IP block. One of the windows to their classroom was half open “1 can get into the classroom through that window, no problem,” said Matt. Harry helped him climb up to the window, but while he was getting inside it, Jess’ phone beeped again. Oh no, it’ Angell =o “Look! They moved towards Mr Hayes’ computer and turned it on. “Look, if’ Mr Hayes is working with Angel, he could know we're here. Be quick, Jess,” said Harry. “Search for ‘Edward Morton’ or the game.” Jess started to lype these wards into the search section of the computer. “There's just the class register and that stupid problem students list. After a moment, an angry emoji appeared on the screen, and a strange, artificial voice filled the room, “Mr Hayes, I'm angry ‘with you! You're not playing by the rules.” ‘The kids were scared by the sound of Angel's voice. “It’s OK, it can’t hurt us,” Mr Hayes said, trying to calm them. “That's the first rule of artificial intelligence.” “Angel, where's Eddie Morton?” asked Mr Hayes.
