Chapter-1 PROFILE OF THE COMPANY

Org Telecom, Ltd, a system integrator, provides solutions and services in fields of value added services, billing and operation support system, very small aperture satellite terminals (VSAT), and network infrastructure services. It offers Value added solutions, which include messaging, call management, roaming, and other applications to the telecommunication operators; billing and operation support system solutions; and remote sensing turnkey VSAT solutions for enterprises and corporate, which include network design, equipment and bandwidth supply, installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance services. The company also offers network infrastructure services to telecom network operators and original equipment manufacturers engaged in setting up green field networks, network expansion, or up gradation. The

infrastructure services provided by Org Telecom are in the areas of network installation and commissioning, system integration and testing, project management, network planning and optimization, and operations and maintenance. The company also engages in application development, testing and maintenance of enterprise application system, enterprise systems management, and packaged software implementation for various industry segments. It also offers managed services in the areas of networks, value added solutions, and content. In addition, Org Telecom provides networking, security, vehicle tracking, and remote sensing and image processing solutions. The company operates from offices located in the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East, South East Asia, and the United States. It serves clients in Africa, Australia, Russia, Finland, and Czech Republic through its partners. The company was founded in 1960 and is headquartered in Gurgaon, India

ORGS HISTORY

ORG was founded by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai in 1960, with the vision to offer the practical applications of science to reach the common man .ORGs exceptional and distinguished vision to harness and to infuse the new & innovative scientific and technological temperament in the field

of communication, remote sensing and IT has resulted in the progressive development of the nation over the past four decades. ORG was the first market research organization in India to smoothen the progress of scientific approach for data collection and information analysis, for optimizing business operations for government and private sector in India

THE JOURNEY
1960:Group was set by Dr. Vikram Sarabhai to facilitate scientific approach for Data collection and analysis, for optimizing business operations. 1978:ORG systems was formed as a separate entity to provide service to The IT Infrastructure needs of industries in India. 1978- 80:- ORG introduce the 8-bit CPU based desktop computers. 1980- 85:- indigenously made the multi-user computer system. 1985- 90:- introduced the multi-user computer system in India and the first to implement WAN. Introduction of the microcomputer SuperMax in the Indian market along With the technical collaboration of Dansk Data Electonik A/S (DDE) of Denmark. 1994:Alliance with DDE to form DDE ORG System Ltd. Global Asia Partners, US based Venture Capital, infused equity into ORG.

Ajoy Khandheria, General Partner of the fund, became the CEO. Telecom Business line stared at ORG.

2003:-

Merger of Sarabhai Electronics Ltd (SEL) and DDE ORG formed Informatics Ltd (ORG). Global Asia Partners, US based Venture Capital, infused equity into ORG. Ajoy Khandheria, General Partner of the fund, became the CEO. Telecom Business line stared at ORG.

2004-06:- ORG expands its operations to the international market with the operating Of offers in Dhaka, Singapore, US, Tanzania and Kabul. 2007 Recent acquisitions of companies include Tec Unified & DGIT
