She was professional in all areas and always demonstrated a strong work ethic. Her ‘communication skills were strong and she was always open to suggestions for improve. Ms. Derbyshire developed lessons that interested the students and held their attention, She took the time to get to know her students and quickly eamed their respect. She leamed how to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students. She uses technology to enhance her lessons and provide visuals for the students, Her ability to “read the room” was strong and she used movement breaks when needed. At the end of her student teaching experience, Ms. Derbyshire was hired in the district as 4 para-professional. This will provide her with valuable experience as she continues to grow and lea.
