1 Purpose of the Study The purpose of the study is to familiarize with the industry and attain a first hand experience of the functioning of the organization. To study the overall performance of the organization. 1.3 Period of the Study The organization study was conducted at The Beach Orchid Hotel, Kollam for a period of 14 days from April 13 to April 26, 2009. 1.4 Methodology of the Study This report was prepared based on both primary and secondary data collected from The Beach Orchid Hotel. Primary data includes data collected by means of face to face interviews with officials in various departments and by observation. Secondary data includes data collected from internet, company annual reports and manuals of various departments. The data collected was analyzed and organized into details relating to each of the department.
