Toyota Manufacturer’s warranty. In addition, Toyota Uganda is also the official distributors for Yamaha motorcycles, Case
Tractors, Hino trucks and Buses and Toyota Folk lifts. TUGA has Branches are in Namanve, Kampala (Industrial Area), Mbale and
Gulu and several authorized service centers.

Position Description
Job Title: Risk & Assurance Manager

 The Risk and Assurance Manager is Responsible for of the effectiveness of the risk program
across TUGA businesses, with primary focus on strategic, market, moral hazard, reputational,
systemic, enterprise, regulatory, business continuity & security areas of risk and suggest
mitigation.
 The Role Holder will be also responsible for designing, implementing, and/or assessing risk and

compliance processes, and a significant understanding of the systems implementation lifecycle
pursuant to the business processes related to Integrated Risk Management (IRM) components.
 Act as an ambassador of the risk-led management culture, by challenging, advising and
partnering closely with the Business and Support functions to actively manage day to day Risk
and support strategic efforts.
 Design and Implement an overall risk management framework for TUGA.
 Monitor and evaluate compliance with the risk management framework of TUGA and generate
periodic reports in line with risk management policy and procedures.
 Implement and manage Group Risk Framework at country level.
 Manage companywide governance initiatives, including business continuity and record
retention planning.
 Conducting operational risk assessments and deep-dives.

 Contribute to system implementation projects in the risk space by providing requirements and

design inputs, particularly with regard to risk recognition and measurement.
 Transactions Risk management: Reviewing business contracts and internal business
proposals/bids for risk.
 Reviewing and challenging processes, risks and controls (PRC), QA and self-assessments of the
business and support functions
 Educate both existing and new TUGA staff about all aspects of operational risk pertaining to
their specific roles in line with HR policy and Risk Management policy

 Degree in Accounting/Finance /Business Administration and or Professional Accountancy
Education & Training qualification.
 Experience working with insurance policies

 A minimum of 7 years relevant (Risk & Accounting-related) management experience in a large


to medium size organizational environment
 Technical/professional Accounting knowledge
 Knowledge of key business functions (Finance, Vehicle Sales, Aftersales and corporate
Skills & Experience governance)
 ERP knowledge [SAP] - Added Advantage
 A general curiosity and broad business understanding, interest in human behaviour to be able
to understand sources of risk.
 A detailed knowledge of the general tools and techniques of risk management
 Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in written form in a professional manner.
 Ability to build functioning working relationships across organizational boundaries.
Business Behaviours  Takes clear accountability, and focuses on delivery of broader corporate goals.
 Ability to take decisions and progress towards goals in conditions of uncertainty.
