CHAPTER 4

Results and Findings

I learned from this study that there is actual nepotism. The findings demonstrated how the
impacts of nepotism aid in the facilitation of the school by the leaders, lead to strong feelings of
resentment, and make decisions for the school relatively simple. It also causes rumors to spread and
unfair treatment. The main causes of nepotism include a strong sense of anger, a desire to follow
instructions, and the expectation of holding a position of authority.

The same rules apply to all students. Make sure you’re treating everyone fairly. The same rule should
apply to all of your students at all times. You can’t afford to make exceptions. The minute you change
the rules or make an exception for one students, you have created an imbalance in your classroom. You
have unwittingly taken sides. When a problem arises, take the time to hear each child out before making
a choice. Once you’ve decided, provide the pupils concerned an explanation of why you made that
choice. Never use the phrase “Just because I said so.” Students will understand that you considered the
evidence and arrived at a fair decision if you are transparent with them about your thinking.

Maintain Control Over Your Emotions. Students pay close attention to details. They are constantly on
the lookout for even the smallest indication of bias. Therefore, make an effort to suppress your
emotions and maintain a neutral facial expression. Don’t favor any of your students over others.
Establish a feeling of security and community.

Show them that they are special. Every students is unique. It’s okay that they have diverse skills and
passions. Teach them to embrace their uniqueness. Tell them that there are many different kinds of
people in the world, and that each one has a special role to play in life. Educate your students on the
benefits of diversity.

Changes must be made at the school. Nepotism and other foolish practices must not be tolerated
in schools. Kids see their parents accorded this undue attention and anticipate doing the same. Because
it has lasted too long and done too much harm, nepotism needs to stop immediately. They shouldn’t be
taught that they have no possibility of success because those in positions of authority will always stand
in their way and obstruct their opportunities when they arise in life.

It is a serious and frightening issue that nepotism is on the rise in schools, especially among
children, as this could have a significant impact on students’ careers. We must destroy this virus before
it spreads further and becomes contagious. Every kid should receive an equal number of opportunities
because you never know when someone from that group can emerge to transform the world.
