ABSTRACT

The principal goal of this study is to revivify the fluency of young Bagobo-Tagabawa in their Bagobo
dialect. Hence this will be help to be active and functional part taking in their community. The purpose
of this phenomenological study is to explore the experiences Young Bagobo-Tagabawa people in using
Bagobo dialect. The research also aims to study some factors of dialect obsolescence as perceived by the
younger people of the Bagobo-Tagabawa tribe, How the Bagobo- Tagabawa tells their experience in
using their native dialect. The data of each factor were gathered though In-depth interview and Focus
Group Discussion and were analyze thematic. The result showed that some of factors are obsolescence
of native like Bagobo-Tagabawa were influence by the modernization, acclimatization, education policies
and concealing identities as well as their dialect. This study will give you knowledge and understand to
the young generation of Bagobo-Tagabawa about the importance of their Bagobo dialect having
indicative significant worth in today times.
