As a proud student, I continue to witness the excellence and determination of this

university to hone aspiring individuals and help in the development of our country at
the same time. As a multidisciplinary research university, it aspires to be an institution
dedicated to building a strong nation. Its mission is to cultivate highly-capable
intellectuals and professionals through transformative action, research, and strong
partnerships, supplying them with sufficient knowledge and skills to be capable of
producing new knowledge and paving the way to a progressive society. This university
strives to achieve its goals and objectives to deliver high-quality and advanced education
in order to develop graduates who are design thinkers, facilitators of learning, mission-
driven workers, and protectors of nature. This drew me to pursue my nursing degree
under their leadership and guidance. As a line of work, nursing requires
professionalism, critical thinking, compassion, dedication, and collaboration, all of
which are encompassed in the university’s nursing degree program. Its Vision, Mission,
Goals, and Objectives emphasize the necessary attributes, knowledge, and skills that the
degree program should endeavor for each nursing student to embody and assures
quality education that aspiring individuals, like me, need in order to achieve one specific
goal: to attain improvement and development. The harmonious relationship between
its VMGO and its nursing degree program has officially led to the award of being
recognized as a Center of Excellence for Nursing Education in 2016.

In addition to that, the VMGO also gives clarity and direction to the students and
the institution as a whole by serving as a reminder of one’s ultimate goal and purpose. It
acts as our beacon of light, helping us remember why we persevere in the first place.
With that, we can reflect once again on the reason behind honing our skills and
overcoming challenges: to be high-performing professionals and intellectuals dedicated
to developing a prosperous nation.
