In the light of the above, it is therefore a ripe time to study the trends of competition law enforcement

and conflicting issues in the light of e-commerce industry. Hence, the paper is organized as follows: Part
II describes the growth and development of e-commerce in India. Part III describes the business
strategies and conduct in the electronic market place to understand the nature of competition. Part IV
discusses the conflicting issues in e-commerce namely vertical restraints including resale price……

Part V discusses the most prominent cases decided by CCI such as flipkart, snpdeal, etc.

Part VI discusses the role of competition authorities in regulating e-commerce and also tries to find out
the measures for an effective and progressive competition law. For that purpose, US and EU approaches
have been discussed and lastly concludes that India needs a progressive competition law and therefore
CCI’s intervention is much required.
