
A study has shown that drinking coffee or tea every day may be healthier than we first
thought. It may lead to fewer cases of dementia and stroke in people over 50 years old.
Dementia still has no cure. In 2020, stroke was the fourth-leading cause of death in Brazil.
Each year, there are 400,000 new cases.

The study found that those who drank two to three cups of tea and two to three cups of
coffee daily had a 32% lower risk of stroke. Those who drank two to three cups of unmixed
coffee or tea had a 12% and a 16% lower risk of stroke. Furthermore, drinking three to six
cups of both tea and coffee per day reduced the development of some types of dementia.

A neurologist said that this type of research is important because so many people have
dementia, and it can help stop or reduce the chances of getting the disease.

What Is 'White Day' Celebrated in East Asian Countries?




Valentine’s Day, celebrated on February 14, is well-known as the day where couples buy
and exchange gifts to express their love.

But in certain East Asian countries, this holiday is only for women. On March 14, White
Day, men respond by buying presents for the women in their lives.

Presents include flowers and candies. Romantic partners often receive more expensive gifts
like fine chocolates, clothes, or jewelry, ideally in shades of white.

These holidays offer the experience of giving and receiving to everyone. They also point to
a greater tradition, which says that a person must reciprocate if they are given a gift.

One story links White Day to a Japanese confectionery company. A special day was

invented for men to express their gratitude in response to a letter that said it was unfair that
women put in their best effort on Valentine’s Day, but men were not obligated to
reciprocate.

The letter said women would appreciate anything in return, from a handkerchief to a
marshmallow. So, a signature sweet treat made with marshmallow paste with chocolate
inside was created.

Originally named “Marshmallow Day,” it was later changed to “White Day.”
