Abraham Maslow Theory of Needs

According to the Abraham Maslow’s framework of hierarchy of needs, in the given hypotheses of this
research, the commercial viability as well as the spatial distribution are two significant needs of the
Project planning in the aviation industry of Pakistan and with the fulfilment of these lower order needs,
Aviation industry can further focus on other upper order needs to enhance the planning and
productivity of a Project. Further, the role and support of top management plays a mediatory role in this
regard as it is the basic need without which Project Planning cannot be successful.

Resource Based Theory

While comparing the IVs and DVs under the Resource based theory, the Commercial viability and spatial
distribution are the key resources for an aviation industry which generate value and helps the industry
to sustain with a rare and inimitable competitive advantage. Here, the top management support works
as a strategic resource which functions as a moderator in developing the capabilities and competencies
that can direct to effective and efficient performance in the long run.

Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Theory

Comparing the variables under Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) framework, the
variables, commercial viability, and spatial distribution study the feasibility of the project planning in the
Aviation industry of Pakistan that how viable and feasible these both elements stand when it comes to
practicality of the model and the top management assists when there is any discrepancy or challenge
occurs to facilitate the process.
