2. List five words that describe the ad. Think of color, mood, emotion…

- Luxurious, Mystery, Attraction, Rich, Marvelous

3. Describe the major focus of your ad in at least 4-5 sentences.

- The major focus of this ad is to advertise three different luxury cars. The setting of the ad

is placed at a super nice house that sets the scene for all the nice cars. The words at the

bottom describe the meaning of the cars and describe them as cruise ships because of
how luxurious they are. The cars are the main focus and it being dark out allows them to

pop with the headlights on lets the cars pop.

4. If the main focus of your ad is NOT A PERSON, then please describe in detail what the

main focus of the ad is and what it looks like. How much of the page does it take up?

What color is the main item? Why do you think there are no people in the ad?

- The ad takes up the whole page because it is needed for this specific ad. The main

color of the ad is a dark theme because it allows the cars to pop with their dark

theme color and gives the cars the center of attention. I don’t think there are any

people in this ad because it would take away from the actual cars and would leave

more focus on the people.

5. What are the main colors used in the ad? Why do you think that these colors were

chosen? What could the colors represent? Do they represent certain emotions?

- The main colors of this ad are black, gray and a little bit of yellowish orange. The black

color means rich, power and elegance. The gray in it means mysteriousness and strength.

The yellowish orange represents standout and wealth.

6. Using the Advertising Strategies listed below, which advertising strategies do you think

are being used to sell the product? Explain. (Use the list of advertising strategies below to

help you with this question.)

- I think that company used the advertising strategy “Put Downs” because they advertise

themselves so highly. They call their cars the cruise ships of luxurious cars. They don’t
use the words better than, but the way they advertise their cars makes them seem as if

they think they are highly.

7. Is this an effective ad? Does it make you want to buy the product? Explain your answer

in at least 5 sentences.

- This advertisement is an effective ad. This ad is effective because it makes the consumers

and customers want to buy the cars due to the beautiful ad. It makes me want to buy the

cars because it labels them so luxurious. It also makes me want to buy the product

because the way they are pictured in the ad makes them look like one of a kind cars.

Buying one also gives you the opportunity to have a cruise ship as your car.

8. Are there any harmful or negative stereotypes in this ad? Explain.

- I don’t think there are any negative stereotypes in this ad because of the fact that it used

only neutral colors and allows the cars to be the main center of focus.

9. Who is the target audience for this ad? What age group? What gender? How do you

know?

- The target market for this audience is any age as long as they have some sort of money

that can afford an expensive car. Any gender could drive any of these. I know this

because with background knowledge Mercedes, Lexus, and Genesis are all expensive

cars brand new. I know any gender can buy these because it’s a car that anyone could

buy.

10. Does the ad realistically portray the product? Is it believable? Explain.

- The ad does realistically portray the product because it is actually the real car in front of a

big house and when driving near big houses, one of these cars is usually in the driveway.

This is believable because it is all the real product for this ad and is a real life place.
