Hello Troop,

Hope you all are enjoying your holidays! The unique USS Hornet camp-out will be taking place on
December 28, and I hope that you all are as excited as I am. After all, it's not every day you get to spend
the night aboard a real Aircraft Carrier which saw battle in World War 2!

There are just some final logistics before we can have a memorable camp-out. Please plan to arrive at
Chadbourne by 3:00 PM, as we will be departing by 3:30 PM, for the scheduled arrival time of 4:30 PM at
the USS Hornet. As this is a one night camp-out, Scouts and Chaperones should pack light. Please keep
in mind that both breakfast and dinner will be provided aboard the ship, as well as foam mattresses, in the
sleeping racks. The recommended packing list is as follows:

A Sleeping Bag

A Pillow

An Extra Blanket (If you deem it necessary based on the temperature)

Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant Etc.)

Flashlight

A Jacket

A warm hat (if you deem it necessary based on the temperature)

Please arrive at Chadbourne in your class A uniform, with your class B uniform underneath. If you have
any questions, please feel free to email me.

Happy Holidays,
Zaid Vellani
