HEALTH TEACHINGS GIVEN:

1. I told the mother about the importance of the vaccine and why they need to update the
child’s vaccinations. Infants are particularly vulnerable to infections; that is why it is so
important to protect them with immunization. Immunizations help prevent the spread of
disease and protect infants and toddlers against dangerous complications. BGC and
Hepatitis B vaccine should be given at birth. Pentavalent, OPV and PCV should be given
at the age of 1 and a half month old, 2 and a half month old, and 3 and a half month old.
Basically the child will get 3 vaccines of that. The IPV vaccine is given at 3 and a half
month. And lastly the MMR it is given at 9 months and 1 year.

2. I also showed the mother the route of administrations of these vaccines.
