Sustainable Development Goals - Bosch


Everything at Bosch revolves around the “Invented for life” claim. It also involves showing respect
for the environment. As Bosch evolves its products, the company focuses not only on cool
technologies that make our lives easier because of its cool and innovative features but also on
sustainable living.
Bosch Ad which was presented to the class shows their pursuit on continuous contribution to the
sustainable development goals (SDG). The company’s use of the phrase “many solutions for
sustainable living” on the ad adheres to SDG 9, Industry, innovation and infrastructure and SDG
12, the Responsible consumption and production. The solutions offered by their products are not
only innovative but also observe sustainable living.
Also, the use of hashtag #LikeABosch is very cool and catchy- it also summarizes the whole
concept of the ad, to live like a boss. Everything in the ad fit perfectly on the brand’s strategy
which is to be part of today’s connected life as they aim to improve quality of life for people
around the world and to conserve resources. Everyone can relate on the ad because one of the
important considerations now is the energy efficiency of the products that we are using. Our
energy consumption is getting high as the result of our fast-paced living – Bosch was able to
deliver the needs of the consumer thru their efficient home appliances that help on the cutting
down of cost and less impact on environment.
For generations, the Bosch brand has been trusted by millions of consumers around the world
and has been developing innovations that serve people with “Invented for Life” at the core of the
brand. For home appliances, “Invented for Life” means giving people peace of mind for their daily
life at home.
The company had been acting in an economically, environmentally, and socially responsible
manner since the beginning, in their pursuit of improving people’s quality of life, they have
safeguarded the livelihoods of present and future generations as well. Bosch as a global company
is aware of their responsibilities – setting ambitious goals in environmental protection by
focusing on the conservation of natural resources and encourages the expansion of renewables
and strives continuously for energy efficiency from development to manufacturing to the finished
product.
