In my reading, I discovered that the stakes for marketing are high, you could potentially

lose clientele and lose against your competitors, which results in your business

plummeting. If you don’t keep up with how technology works, you're going to have a

hard time with your career in the long run. The use of technology nowadays is used all

around the world, bringing in customers day by day searching for a variety of different

things. Traditional marketing is fading away, new technology is being produced every

day so as a marketer you need to keep up with it. In the text, it says, “Traditional

marketing was very effective in its heyday.” relating to the fact of Digital marketing being

the most effective in this day in age.

In the digital marketing field, it’s important to reel your customers in due to most people

being online and wanting to spend money. As a marketer, interacting with customers
provides further information on what people like; For example, you as a marketer need

to engage with your customers through emailing, that makes your business more

effective. Having people click on your website is amazing, but not knowing if someone is

going to buy or exit the website is not. Email subscriptions are a good way of promoting

your items and giving out deals that expands your company as a whole. There are

Reading this book, I understand that online marketing believes that connecting

customers to your product or website is by using keywords, which is somewhat true.

The main thing you have to do to engage your customers is by looking at customer
activity by the data provided from sales. Considering what most customers like will help

with long term success, providing ads and subscription updates will help with

interacting. The key is to care about the customers needs, based on demographics

learning what your customer loves motivates them to shop and visit your website more

often. There are several effective ways of engaging with customers.
