Related to course : During earlier stages of prepartion, I tried to flo od my self with lot of pro blems from lots of sources without ev en hav ing my basic concepts clear.Clarity of concepts is absolutely important befo re solv ing problems. 2. Related to ex ams: Must go into ex ams after pro per rest. 3. Related to rev ision: Try ing to cov er a lot of new material & igno ring tho se done long time ago. Q. What is y our view regarding rev ision By what time students should be able to finish their prepartion and should start rev ision ? A . I think rev ision is best done by taking a mix of new or untried( by self) problems from all topics of a subject and working them in timed ex am like condition. In my opinion there need not be any hurry for starting rev ision, whenev er started, the entire subject should hav e been completed. Q. How many hours y ou think one should dev ote daily for prepartion ? A . I wont like to suggest number of daily hours of study -as long as one is gaining eno ugh co nfidence in solv ing problems. Q. What was y our idea about IIT before entering and what is y our idea about it now ? A . There is too much of hy pe surrounding IIT and IITians , in my case, all after all are human beings.
