NECT LS SPINE TECHNIQUE: Non-contrast spiral axial scans of the spine were obtained on a 128 slice MDCT scanner followed by coronal & sagittal reformats with 3d construction was also obtained The study reveals: + Lumbar lordosis is exaggerated. + Grade 1 anterolisthesis of L4 over L5 vertebra with defects involving bilateral pars interarticularis at same level. The bony defects show well corticated margins likely s/o old fractures. «There is suggestion of diffuse disc bulge seen at L4-5 level which along with listhesis, is causing narrowing of the bilateral neural foramina with probable compression over bilateral exiting nerve roots at this level. + In addition, there is non fusion of spinous process of L5 and S1 vertebrae - likely spina bifida occulta. + Note is made of partial sacralisation of LS right transverse process with sacrum. «Rests of the visualized vertebrae shows normal, morphology, height with preserved alignment. + Their posterior elements are normal. + Visualized inetrvertebral disc spaces are preserved. + The pre and paravertebral soft tissues are normal.
