“Introduction”
Bakunawa means “sea serpent”. In Philippine mythology, it is believed to
roam the surface every night and devouring moons when it gets the chance. When
the Earth falls down to its last moon, the people of Banwa made loud noises to
prevent the Bakunawa from eating the last moon.

In this story, the Bakunawa is much, much more different... A simple village
boy named Moran living a simple life. Alongside his friends, Karina and Teodoro,
they live a prosperous life in the country of Banwa. There are also other people in
this story:

Datu Arukad – the ruler of the country of Banwa. He may be old but he sure is
the Datu for a reason.

Claudio – Moran’s father and Datu Arukad’s trusty friend. He and Datu Arukad
get along very well that sometimes when Datu Arukad is away, he trusts the
country to him.

Mora – Moran’s mother. Moran is named after her. Unlike Claudio, Mora isn’t too
protective over Moran, he lets Moran do what he wants but also tells him what he
shouldn’t do.

There are other important characters as well but I’ll be careful not to spoil the
story for you. Let’s start the story shall we?
