CULTURE is the non-biological or social aspects of human life.

It Refers to
a person's "total way of life," which can and can't be seen, consists of beliefs,
knowledge, practices, physical objects, and any other habits and capabilities
that are common and agreed upon by a group of people.
There are two basic type of culture the Non- material culture and Material
culture.
TheNon- material Culture Is the intangible, abstract parts of the culture that
can't be touched. It can be superstitious beliefs, knowledge, and practices.
While Material Culture Is the tangible and man-made objects of culture that
can be seen and touched. It could be artwork, tools or written records and also
be calledArtifacts or an item made or given shape by humans that shows
human modification and workmanship.

The two example of material culture are the Manunggul Jar, It is a burial jar,
an example of an artifacts, and was found in the 1960's in Manunggul Cave,
Lipuun Point, Palawan. The second is the Laguna Copperplate Inscription its is
a historical legal document found around 1987 in a river in the province of
Laguna.

ASPECTS OR CHARACTERISTICS OF CULTURE are CHANGING


(Dynamic, Flexible and Adaptive) Culture has life and is ever changing.Culture
changes depending on the physical and environmental situation and state.
Second it is SHARED AND CONTESTED,it can be called culture if it is
practiced and recognize by a large number of people. Despite the shared
culture it doesn't mean that it is all the way accepted, there are varying views
of about culture and how it should be practiced. Third is INTEGRATED AND
UNSTABLE,Culture as normative system has the capacity to define and
control human behavior. Social interactions can help us filter the parts of our
culture that we learned so that we can define what suits us and what does not
Integrated known as holism or the various parts of a culture being
interconnected and interlinked. Fourth it is LEARNED OR TRANSMITTED
Culture is learned through language and modeling others ,it is not genetically
transmitted.It is not biological, we do not enherit it but learned. Fifth is
ENCULTURATION it is the process by which an individual adopts the
behavioral patterns of culture in which the person is immersed. Sixth is the
LANGUAGE OR COMMUNICATION it is the process of learning and
transmitting culture, we need language and symbols that we can use to
communicate with others in society.
